Would this keep it from power on?
And is There a way to open it up to check/ replace battery???

Ok it takes a while but heres the solution. Slide the hold button to ON and hold down the REC button.While still holding the REC button,connect the USB port and wait for your PC to find it. Once it has found it type this link in to download Firm Ware. It may take a while but it is worth the wait.Once it is downloaded to your player EJECT!!! the player before disconnecting the USB port.Now just wait for it to format yor player and it should be working good as new again. =)

Displays message Battery to low sytem shut down
it wont charge the battery and it drains while its off
i am not able to switch off my sansa e260 and it shows "Battery is too low System shutdown"

sansa fuze e250 3 weeks old. Loaded with music. Great! Now it wont charge at all. It says battery too low system shutdown. Plug into usb like usual to charge, nothing,black screen and it gets very very very HOT on the back of it!!!!!! Why wont it charge up?Thanks kn29
