My C6180 All in One constantly chops off the last line on a page

Ever since I have had the printer, it has persistently failed to print out the bottom one or more lines on a page. This is completely random - it doesn't always do it, and you can often go back and print the page again with perfect results. It is especially infuriating when printing a lot of pages, as you have to go through them all and ensure that all the text has come out. Occasionally it cuts a line in half, rather than missing a whole line. Any ideas?

Thanks Swan, this sounds like it might help, but could you possibly expand? I've looked through the printer options but not sure what I'm looking for! Dave.

Hi Swan. Unfortunately I don't have Image Enhancement in my print setup - probably a Vista thing (nothing new there). Thanks for trying though.

This will fix the issue, still persists, follow the below steps.

Here, do we see an option print spooler?
Just stop that print spooler
and then restart that spooler.

WIRELESS.
Press the Setup button (c01461502.gif ) on the front of the printer.
Press the Down Arrow button (c00718778.gif ) to highlight Network , and then press OK .
Press the Down Arrow button (c00718778.gif ) to highlight View Network Settings , and then press OK .
Press the Down Arrow button (c00718778.gif ) to highlight Print Network Configuration Page , and then press OK .

Please note down the ip address of the printer and then follow the below steps.

Right-click on the printer Photosmart C6180 series---- click " Properties" , and then click the Ports tab
Click Add Port .

Click TCP/IP port and put (ip address of the printer)

, and then click New Port . The Add Port wizard starts.
Click Next ,
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish adding the port.

Then try to print and the issue will be fixed.

this isuue occurs because of the power failure or thunder storms or if we turn the router OFF.
I would suggest you to never turn off the router.
If, however, you face the same issue with the printer, please follow the same steps and the issue will be fixed.

Chops off part of page when I print from the internet

There is a setting in windows that will convert web based pics to print, also may find it in your printer software. Usually look for something like "Fit all contents to window"

My C6180 suddenly takes FOREVER to print a page, even a one-word document which I did as a test. It used to print a page in a couple of seconds,. Now each page takes 30-40+ seconds. Maddening. Help.

You could try the HP support document for your model:

Slow Printing

It is likely that you will need to follow the "Additional Troubleshooting Steps" at the bottom of this page to determine whether the problem is hardware or software related.

Horizontal lines (red) on first 1 - 2 pages of initial print-out

Do you refill ink tank? Print blank pages. Is there horizontal lines appear? It might be caused bay ink leakage. Check respiratory hole at ink tank and rubber seal at bottom of ink tank. Print blank pages until no horizontal lines and try to use new ink tank.

HP C6180 will only print a partial document

Hi Rbluhm,

I need somre more information regarding this issue. Like are you able to print fine from other applications without any issue, connectivity and foremost thing operating system you are using...

However, as a work around, I would suggest to select the "Print directly to the printer" option in the properties of Hp Photosmart C6100 series icon.

That is:
1. Go to printer folder.
2. Right click on the printer icon.
3. Click on the Advance tab
4. Select "Print directly to the printer" option.
5. Click apply and click ok.

Then just close all the windows opened on your computer and then re-open the Microsoft Word document and try printing....

I am sure this will resolve the issue. However, if the issue persist, do reply me soonnnnnnnnnnn.......

With Regards.

Dell AIO 942 printing problem

Hi Lei,

You may try to check on the printing settings. You may need to check also if it is defaulting to all. You may try printing it by pages. If the issue persist then there is something wrong with the settings. You may also try to uninstall and reinstall the printer software if the issue persist.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Jeff
