How can i use my 881 sierra wireless aircard to get online with my ps3

Download and install Sprint's SmartView. Select the download for your computer's operating system. Follow the installation wizard's prompts to properly install SmartView. The aircard should be connected to the computer during installation.

Restart the computer. Leave the aircard connected during the restart.

Double-click on the Sprint SmartView icon on the desktop.

Wait for the program to initialize and recognize the aircard, then click "Connect." Sprint SmartView should activate the aircard automatically.

Open a browser window to access the Internet.

Hi,

How old is your aircard? The model of your Aircard which is 881U PC Card shows that its production has been discontinued and support will end on July 13, 2012 with End of Life Notice. Click links for reference. The notice will ask you to contact Sierra.

The link below is Sierra's contact details.

Connect Sprint PCS Sierra Wireless Aircard 402 home network??

Yes, you need to get in the router settings and disable DHCP in LAN configuration. That should do it. Also enable the ICS for the Air card. (Right click on Sierra Wireless icon, properties, advanced, check the box next to Allow others networks user to connect through this computers internet connection)

Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U And PS3

I understand that you want to connect the PS3 using the Wireless card and NETGEAR card. Please note that the setup you have will not work for internet access. You can not configure the Air card to work with NETGEAR router. you need to have wih a broadband connection available for this router to connect to internet.

Once you have the router configured with Internet access then you may either connect the PS3 wired or wireless to the router, like you connect a desktop or laptop to the router.

Cant get ps3 connection to internet

First, you need an ethernet cord and of course an aircard. connect one end of the the ethernet cable to your playstation and the other to your laptop. View your network connections (control panel-->network and internet connections-->network connections). Right click on your aircard connection and click properties. On the aircard properties window click the advanced tab. on the tab there will be a box asking if you want to let others connect to this connection. check in that box. below there will be a box asking what the home networking connection is. Put **Local Area Connection** in the box. Last make sure firewall is turned off. On your playstation go to network connections and click easy and go from there. (dont try to put in IP adress or anything just let the playstation do it all automaticly). Test your connection and you should be good to go.

Sierra aircard 875u connect to Playstation 3

Actually, screw sending me the message. It would probably help more people if I just posted it in the forums.
I have a Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband card plugged into my laptop because no one in my house has a desktop and we never bothered around with WiFi. I assume this aircard you speak of is similar to mine.
First, connect to the internet with your card. For me there's an application I have to run where I basically just open the app and click Connect. If you have XP (which I really hope you do because I haven't tried this on any other OS) open your Network Connections menu. This can either be done by opening the "Start" menu, highlighting "Connect to" and clicking "Show all connections", or by opening the Control Panel from the Start menu and selecting "Network Connections".
In the Network Connections menu, find your current connection. It'll be the one that says "Connected" in gray letters under the title. I don't know if they all are, but for some reason mine was under the Dial-Up category on the list. Next, on the same menu, look for the "LAN or High-Speed Internet" category. You should have a setting there called "Local Area Connection". I have two. You want the one that doesn't say anything about WWAN or Wireless. It should say something about your ethernet card if you leave the mouse cursor hovering over it.
Now that you've identified both settings, right click the first one you found (the one that says "Connected") and click "Properties". Once that menu opens, click the "Advanced" tab. Check the box under "Internet Connection Sharing" that says "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection." In the "Home Network Connection" box, type the name of the second connection you found in the previous step (the one that uses your ethernet card). On some computers, instead of allowing you to type anything, that box will drop down and show a list of all your connections. Either way, you know which to pick. Click "OK", and fire up your PS3.
Now, at this point I plugged one end of an ethernet cord in my PS3 and the other into my laptop. Your computer might say something to let you know it has established a Local Area Connection. Log in to any Playstation Network registered profile on your PS3 and open Network Settings under the Settings tab. Go to "Internet Connections Settings". I was able to click "Easy" and my PS3 did all the work from there.

Sierra aircard 875u connect to Playstation 3

ok guys ive found the solution. i have a sprint usb aircard and had the same problem for like 6 months and just yesterday i found out how to make it work.

1) connect laptop/ CPU to internet as usual*
2)go to control panel
3) go to network and internet connections
4)go to network connections
5) next tight click on you internet provider thing. and go to properties.
6) click on advanced tab
7) then just follow the instruction to make it a shared connection and thats all to it.

fyi: its probably going to lag alot if your not in a good reception area. other than that the lag is bearable.
