try connecting with a cat5 cable instead of using the wireless. It is possible your problem is your wireless connection and not your service provider. Make sure your ether net connection is not disabled.

It may not be compatible with either software version or it's possible the version of "driver installer" is only compatible with the USB, If you'd go into device manager on your PC and make sure you see drivers for the modem,network adapter,ports and usbs for the 860 you should be able to set up a dial up connection. Have you tried contacting Verizon on this ? What version of Vista are you running, what version of the Verison Software are you running ?

Call at&t, tell them you bought it from a third party. As long as it is new at&t (att in lower case) or Cingular, doesn't appear on an active account, have a pending contract attached or a past due amount on the account, you should be able to get it unlocked.

Try to turn off your firewall and anti-virus and try againg. I had the same problem and no onw knew what to do. I turned off the firewall and anti-virus and it worked out for me.

Try the last four digits of the number you got for it, if you didnt get a number with it then try the last four of your Cellular Device

Go into control panel and open "truinstall" ad click the button to make the device enter modem mode

Before you go to your friend's, download the Watcher program from Sierra wireless onto a cd. And install it instead of the AT&T Connection MGR.

In the Aircard window, on the top you should see either commnication or networks. In networks tell it to search for all networks. When you open the manager, it should show your network and the Aircard network.

i think that your network range is not there so you not working properly eithere re-installed the driver of the air card or download a latested ver of the driver from the internet.

Yes , but on a laptop it will be an external usb adaptor.
You need something like this, the model in the middle will do.

try to windows update custum scan may fix it witha driver update they offer

i woudl try runing cleaners 1st www.ccleaner.com and ace utilties get out junk thats choking it up and downlopad latest drivers from websites from today cheak ok then make sure u have all latest updates for windows installed
