RCA TV DVD Combo DVD makes loud grinding noise when playing DVD

does not sound correct. Perhaps the laser is hitting the DVD, or a gear is dirty. Anyway, if you keep playing with a strange noise in the player, it won't take long before it stops complete, or till you destroyed all your DVD's When you don't see scratches on the silver side of the DVD's, you should check (or let a technician check) what can be wrong with the player.

Player makes lots of noise when trying to load a disk, some what of a grinding sound and eventually stops with the disk not loaded

hello,

there seem to be a problem with the lens of the dvd player so it is not accepting the disc that is why it is making that grinding sound.

the lens could either be weak or dirty.

try use a lens cleaner, if it works after then it means the lens was dirty.

and if it does not work, then it means the lens is weak and needs replacement.

take care

Won't Eject or play DVD...just reads E 27 00

The problem is likely to be a jammed disk. All you need to to do is remove the cover by removing the 7 screws locking it on. The jammed disk will most likely be located where the dvd is read, this can be tricky to remove so carefully remove a screw at a time from the disk positioner (device with white disk on it, not 5 disk tray) gently trying to remove the disk after each screw is removed. The fewer screws removed the better. Usually only the screw on the right side needs to be removed to give rome to remove the disk.

Combi not playing DVD's

If this unit is a few months old can you swap it with the shop you got it in? Errors like the ones you mention sound like the laser is not reading the DVDs. (Which you would expect to find on old players).

Just check you are putting in valid DVD's which play in other players and that you are putting them in the correct way (not upside down - yes it happens).

Insignia portable dvd player

It sounds like the player needs to be cleaned. Just go to your local electronics store and get DVD player cleaning disk. They are only like $10 and do the trick. Whatever you do, DONT blow into the player as it will only make it worse.

My dvd won't play any movies

the ticking sound is most likely the laser hitting the disk trying to focus, my guess is the motor isnt spinning the disc or the laser is bad or weak.
