We are talking airless .Are you spraying oil paint or latex or laquoir hope its not laquior.
If its oil paint you really shouldn't be spraying it with airless for fine finish unless you have the gun to do it and air assited airless is the why to go
Laquior you will blow your self up stactic electricty from the lines .
Fish eyeing could be substrate not clean thinning of meterial or no air trap if air assitied .Overspray you are useing oil paint I can tell no way to stop this it will lay down a mist on every thing in the area that isn't covered .
I have 40 years of spraying under my belt .

Over spray is just that getting paint on a surface you are not painting (protect adjacent surfaces) "fish eyes" are almost always some type of oil wax or something that was not cleaned off and the paint film moves away from it- always clean all surfaces first before any painting.

I have a Nikon D-40 I'm currently using a 55-200

Fisheye is the extreme of a wide angle lens. I think you are not using a fish eye lens, but a fish eye adopter. That is a lens that will "shorten" the focal length of a lens most of the time with 30 % sometimes with 50% when you put it in front of your lens. So you could make a 24 mm lens look or act like a 12 mm.
On your tele lens this only will slightly shorten the 55 mm, but even 50 % of 55 is 27 mm and can't be seen as a fish eye.
I think when you put this on a short lens, the picture you get will be round, like you were using a real fish eye.

What causes fisheyes using an inexpensive HVLP system with Tremclad metal paint on aluminum?

Here is some information to solve the problem.

Fish Eyes: A surface depression or crater in the wet paint film. Fish eyes are caused by repulsion of the wet paint by a surface contaminant such as oil or silicone. The depression may or may not reveal the surface under the paint. Make sure the surface is clean.

Etching Primer
If you are going to be painting any aluminum, you are going to need an etching primer. This primer can also be used on steel. It is two-parts (not like epoxy, though) and tends to "bite aggressively" into the metal. It really stinks to have your paint stick well to your primer, but the primer releases from the metal. One of the major benefits is that you can paint over the primer in 1/2 hour, about the time it takes you to clean your gun and mix the paint.

OTHER PAINT RELATED STUFF
Additives: You can get anti fisheye additives, hardeners, flatteners, catalysts, metallics, metal flake, pearls, and reducers to mention a few. Get an anti fisheye thats compatible with the paint you use.
Masks Use a good quality dual cartridge mask for all work. Don't skimp, get the charcoal cartridges, they stop most aromatic vapors.
