In order to delete your privacy zone, you have to get the application once more. To get the software click here http://verbatim.com/support/support.cfm?open=Downloads ...ok so you will have to format your flash drive with the application, removing the privacy zone if you want, this will obiously DELETE ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE after the format has completed, you can then remove the application from you flash drive, if you still remember the privacy zone password, then all you have to do is just type it and you have acess to the privacy zone... anyone who needs assistance can contact me to [email protected] if you are confused, email me and i can also try to clear it up for you. There are several USB recovery programs available. While I don'tendorse any one in particular, I tend to stay away from "free" ones,since I believe in the axiom "there's no such thing as a free lunch"since you don't know what's in it for them.

You could try this company, which advertises a free download (but Isuspect they are really a shareware company so it's possible that theywill want money for a more expansive version) which may make itpossible to fix your drive in one instance at least.

If this data is important to you, it's probably worth spending 30 or 40dollars to avoid a repeat.in the future, because USB drives getcorrupted from time to time.

You will have to download the v-safe software again for your flashdrive from manufacturer website. Then you can change the size of the secure area or remove it completely. http://www.verbatim.com/support/support.cfm?open=Manuals
