FE-160 won't switch off

Whilst unplugging my Olympus FE-160 from the computer I think I accidentally touched the 'Power' button. The green light is now permanently on, & I can't change to any other setting!

Try removing the battery, let it stand for 1 hour (it should reset itself), insert the battery and configure your camera again.
AND/OR
Have a look at your manual and or the Olympic WEB site to see how to reset your camera.

Hp desktop blinking green light won't come on

mine does that when it's in stand-by mode. I just push the power button and it comes on....

Assuming you've already tried that....push and hold the power-button down for 5 seconds and the power SHOULD go out. *IF* it does not, then disconnect the power cord in the back for 1min....then reconnect and try to boot. If it *DOES*, then do the same...unplug the power cord for 1min and reconnect and boot.

My HP pavilion a620n won't power back on when I push button on the front, there is a little green light on the back that went off when I unplugged everthing attached to the back. Could this be a b

it could be a faulty switch or the bad lead connections

test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE SATA

MOTHERBOARD TO THE HARD DRIVE make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty if its a flat ribbon 40pin ide

this will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure dust free connections

a computer needs power and data to travel through every working device and continue its cycle and have a finishing point so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure the CPU has a secure dust free seating with thermal paste

make sure your ram modules are securely seated with no dust in the sockets also the Cmos battery has charge with no dust in the socket
on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

hope this helps

Start button jammed

if it got jammed you can either apply pressure on the button whilst trying to move it so that it unlocks from the position it is. that is the only way without dismantling the whole thing.

Won't turn on

First check the power cable and ensure that it is correctly connected. check the fuse of the plug or socket just in case it is blown.
pay extra attention and never touch contacts whilst power is switched on.

I have an olympus fe camera and the language was accidentally changed to japanese or chinese but anyways I don't know how to switch it back to english.

Press the MENU button. Use the cursor buttons to select Setup (crossed wrench and hammer). Press the OK/FUNC button. Use the cursor buttons to select the third line (speech bubble) and press OK/FUNC. Use the cursor buttons to select "ENGLISH" and press OK/FUNC. Press MENU to exit.

Olympus FE-210

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

you sdaid power surge on the laptop. Thus suggests that this may have affected the camrera. I would think a 'repair' if such is possible will be near the cost of replacement. Only Olympus can advise
