How do I calibrate thermostate - Magic Chef CGR3725 Gas Kitchen Range

I'd recommend buying an oven temp dial to stick in your oven to verify the actual temp. Then you can turn on the oven using a lower setting and write down the temp for the setting. Then as you slowly adjust the setting higher and higher, note each temp. If it doesn't show a consistent increase of temp for each setting, you may need it calibrated or replaced. Good luck!

stat thermometers are not very accurate get a good quality thermometer and take reading at stat location. most stats have a way of calibrating stat cover.

There is a anticipator inside,if you remove the cover you will see a small slider on a round disc.

Moving it forward will increase run time,moving it back will decrese run time.

Try the 4.8 setting.

valve should have a gear like deal under handle that may need to be adjusted

Look closely at your knob. I bet it is cracked.

Hello, try this link to download the manual for the thermostat. The metal piece your talking about is the heat anticipator. It's used to calibrate the thermostat to the type of heater that it's connected to. Any more questions just ask. Good luck.

Maytag single built in oven model cwe9000bcb beeps intermittenly. Reset stops for about 1 minute. Two control panel boards replaced since 2002 with same problem. Can it be fixed?
