I recieve a voice mail and after retriving call ph will not recieve other calls or allow me to call out without pulling the power and resetting. sometimes it just will not get a dial signal, again i have to unplug power and reconnect. this does fix the problem but only temporary. other times have kids call and say they get the answer machine but phone does not ring.
another problem.. once i recieve some voice mails the light will blink and will not go away. i reset the voice mail setting to yes(which it is on) an sometimes the light will go out. other times, still have to unplug and start over... really bothers us with 3 expectant gandbabies on the way, any day.

call your phone service and have them disconnect the voice mail and if they cant just remove that have them set there rings at like 9 since most phones only have up to 5 rings for the machine to answer.you will have to use there voice mail service to hear your message and then delete it but should be good after that. i have comcast and they said it would take 3 days to deactivate voice mail but told me how to get there so i can get rid of that flashing light, hope this helps you

what you do is call your own phone number it will tell you to set up a voicemail account and make a 4 digit pin ....once that is made you can listen to the prompts to listen to your voicemail and erase the messege and the phone will get back to its normal self hope this helps

What worked for me was to call my phone from another phone and leave myself a voicemail. I then went in and retrieved and deleted that voicemail. Once I hung up from my voicemail service my handsets reset about 10 seconds later.

Another fix is to register the phone again. I do not have to de-register it first. Also, be patient. Sometimes when I take the handset from the base it searches for the base. If I push the talk button before it finishes searches, it beeps. Once it has found the base, it is ready to go. I have Verizon voice mail and it seems that when I have a message waiting it causes the phone to de-register.

I have a similar problem. Phone needs to be reset by unplugging and replugging more than once a day.

Same problem...also flashes "incoming call" when there is no call coming in, or at least I hope! It doesn't ring half of the time so there is no telling how many phone calls that don't come through.
I have the same problem but also had exactly the same problem with another brand that I bought a couple of years ago. Sometimes neither phone rings or I can't get a dial tone for outgoing calls. Message recorder seems to work fine even when the phone(s) don't ring.
One thing that I haven't checked out yet with Bell South is whether my DSL connection has anything to do with the problem.
