I need to find out whare I can get a replacement AV cable for my JVC Hard Disk Camcorder, to connect to my TV for playback. The Model no of the camcordia is JVC GZ-MG130U. There is no part Number listed in the manuel. I tried a genaric cable that fit the camera but the picture was dark and distorted. I beleave there is a problem with the shielding in the cable. I need to get an original equipment cable identical to the one that came with the camera so that it is compatable with the camera.

First, set [SWITCH TO ANALOG I/O] to [OUTPUT]
then turn off the (camcorder) unit.
After you connect the cable (from AV connector to the TV's AV Input Connector (accepting the 3 color cables), set the TV to VIDEO mode, selecting the AV input (from your Camcorder).
Then start your playback on the camcorder ...
slide the mode switch to select the (video) mode (instead of the picture/photo mode)... press the PLAY/REC to select the playback mode, and select the desired files/frames to play.
Hope this works for you. Have you tried using the HDMI mini connector instead ? (same process, just set your TV to accept input from the HDMI input)
All JVC camcorders came with a 3.5 to AV cable to connect to a TV for playback. Use this cable and connect to the input of your recorder to record to DVD/VHS. IF you lost cable, you can purchase it here store.jvc.com
JVC GR-FXM40EK is analog camcorder that can not be connected directly with computer because computer needs digital video format to save the file so connect USB 2.0 Video Capture Device in computer and plug camcorder AV wires in that device that will digitize the AV signals of analog camcorder and computer will save it in your selected folder on hard disk. Hope this will help.
Are you playing the video directly form the hard disk in the camcorder or are you transferring the file to the laptop first? Reading high volumes of data via USB is slow and the PC may not be able to read the data fast enough from the camcorder. Try copying the video to the laptop first, then play it back.
I am assuming that you have an AV cable which you need to have connected to your camcorder at the AV output socket, and the other end should have RCA phono plugs (one red, one white and one yellow) which usually connect to three corresponding sockets on the front or side of most modern TV sets, these may be inside a front panel which opens. Once connected, you need to select the appropriate AV input on your TV remote, very often this will be "Front AV" or AV3 or AV4, you need to check your TV instruction manual to be sure of which input is required for your specific model of TV...hope that helps!
ur av cable is faulty try changing it, try the sound cable normally the red one on video port on both sides check if video works or not , if thats the case ur av cable is faulty
Make sure you plug your camcorder into the in on the dvd recorder. Make sure the dvd recorder is set to that input. you may need to hook it up to a tv and make sure you see your camera on the tv going through the dvd recorded to make sure you have it on the right setting. Make sure you camera has playback out turned on.
yes you can connect thruogh the video or dvd player ot TV via a cable, if you look on google for the manual it will give more info.
