Connected usb cord will not come up on computer.I'm a dummy so be forewarned.
Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

see many a times the drivers files are corrupted after a particular period of time due to loading of some other softwares or programs getting crosslinked with few necessary files.i would suggest you to uninstall the driver completely first then install it fresh again.its a common problem and will get solved after reloading fresh drivers again.thanks.

check your device manager on the computer to see if your if your usb driver are loaded and have no conflicts, u could also have a bad cable don't load the camera software on to the computer if you did uninstall the software from the PC and then plug the camera in and let windows recognize the camera if this does not work change the cable your using, GOOD LUCK

Download to a folder you create on your desktop. Then, open the software and click on "file" at the top and then "open"...choose that folder and it should open in your software.
