there must be writen somwhere in the board it self. can you see the panel where you are trying to fit? see the whole board and you see the settings of it. just read what is written downwards to the first pci slots. i think this the setting.

Try to reset the bios!
Are there any sounds?
if the motherboard is new use the manual to see how to reset the bios.
Should be a jumper you have to move or just unplung the battery make a short between the contacts from the battery socket for at least 10 seconds . !!! Unplung the Main power First!!!.
See if it works now.

Make sure you go into the bios settings of your motherboard and shut off the on board VGA. You will need to plug the monitor into the onboard VGA adaptor before proceeding to use the secondary adaptor.
