Boggs down, no power

Starts fine, runs good when not under pressure, The minute I Flore it, it bogs down like the engine was flooded. Can't go over 60mph. Tester shows #5 problem. Replaces all wires and Spark Plugs. Replaced Ignition Coil, Transmission filter and Fluid. Muffler rattles

    I'll do that today. Thanks

Looked for filter, but couldn't find one. Removed the gas tank and traced the fuel line all the way from the tank to the fuel rail-no filter anywhere! Could the catalytic converter cause the bogging problem? It rattle for some time when running then the rattling stop. The peace fell off in side the converter and you can here it in there on the inside when you hit it or sitting Thanks

Have you replaced the fuel filter?

Testimonial: "Yes! I hadn't even considered the fuel filter since we've been putting in cleaner for the injectors as a possible solution."

5.7 liter vortec runs fine on startup then boggs down

check the fuel pump pressure you might not be getting the amount of fuel your truck needs to keep running an easy way to check is to tap the gas when it starts to bog if it picks back up thats what the problem is.

First check for any cracked pipes leading into the intake manifold If all OK (with no codes showing it probably is OK) try checking the fuel pressure regulator. If you smell fuel from the pressure regulator vacuum side arm (when the vacuum line has been disconnected) it needs to be replaced.
