You need to service this tool. The grease has apparently broke down and would need to be cleaned out and replaced. In the header it states Dewalt and if so go to dewaltservicenet.com and you will need your model number and type to download a breakdown on how to disassemble the tool and it generally shows the grease they recommend. Let me know if you need more assistance. If you have trouble finding it on the Dewalt site try ereplacementparts.com for the same information

How to load grease in it?

The model 1056S will accept the standard grease cartridge available at any parts store. I have to use a razor blade and cut off the metal pull tab end. Then push the cartridge into the cylinder from the top. The real trick is to guide the rubber seal into the cartridge; it can be done, I load mine this way. Use the little lock to hold off the long plunger, allow just enough to work with inorder to insert rubber seal into cartridge. Only after the rubber is in the cartridge, then screw on the bottom cap. Then release the long plunger rod. You noticed that the plunger rod will rotate out of the rubber seal assembly, rotate it so the rod can be pushed into the cylinder without pushing the rubber seals. The sping will push the rubber seal to ensure grease is mover to the top. Very powerful PSI, do not blow out the rubber cups around the zerk fittings. Good luck

Cordless sds leaving grease on sds bits

There is supposed to be grease on the chuck end of SDS+ and SDS Max bits. Actually, you should put a little lightweight grease on the end of the bit every time you put one in your drill. If you, or noone who has ever used the drill, have ever done this, it is possible internal grease is leaking out of the drill and it should not. There are seals to prevent internal grease from getting out of the transmission and striker mechanisms. If you are loosing internal grease, these seals should be checked.

Bosch 11247 rotary hammer will not hammer

SAME ISSUE *****SOLVED*****

You were on the right track but needed to go farther with top description without disassembly!!

I have a barely used Hammer drill also that will rotate and run motor but does not hammer in any position.

Grease is the issue.....

Heat and sitting causes the grease to weep out & even a small amount of dust binds up the hammer drill.

******SOLUTION*****

GREASE, GREASE & MORE GREASE....

REMOVE BIT....SQUIRT IN ALOT OF THE BOSCH GREASE HOLD LOCKING CHUCK OPEN. INSERT A SPLINED BIT INTO THE HOLE AND PLUNGE GREASE IN SLOWLY SEVERAL TIMES. REMOVE BIT & REFILL GREASE & REPEAT.....VOILA.....HAMMER WORKING AGAIN....

BE SURE TO USE LOTS OF GREASE & DUST COVERS ON Bosch HD WHEN WORKING. WE ALL ERROR AND FAIL TO MAINTAIN FROM TIME TO TIME!

A friend of mine recently purchased a Makita HM1500B demo hammer. It came without grease. How much grease is required to initially fill the case? Is there a different type of grease that can be used?

If this was a new unit, it comes with the proper amount already in the gearcase. You might need some for the hammer bits (a small amount of lithium grease) but other than that until the tool needs repaired you should not have to add any.

I have a Hitachi demo hammer modle # H 65 When I frist was using it the bit had oil on it. When I got done using it I cleand it all up.When I went to use it again there wasent any oil on the bit after I...

Demo hammers do not oil/grease the bit. The grease in the tool is to lubricate and cool the parts in there doing the hammering. The bit should have grease on the end going into the hammer to make it work in the tool better and make it easier to take out when you are done. You have to put the grease on the bit yourself.

I installed a new grease cartridge in my grease gun and grease does not come out when triggered.

If the gun was working properly before you changed the cartridge, The gun is air-locked
Two things: 1. Make sure the bottom rod is pushed in. 2. Holding the gun by the handle on the top left of the gun, below the hose there is a little metal valve. Push that vent valve down and pull the trigger repeatedly until grease starts to come out.
If that doesn't work. Remove the grease hose, hold the vent valve down, pull the trigger a few times. Then release the valve and pull the trigger until grease comes out. Replace the hose.
And if that doesn't work. Sometimes when you put in a new cartridge the metal "washer" that actually pushes the grease up the cylinder will get caught at the bottom of the new cartridge. Make sure the washer will move freely into the cartridge.
That should do it!

Hi, I just installed the NN-SD297 OTR microwave. I must have done something wrong. I have steam and a bit of grease running down the wall. Looks like it might be coming from Behind by the rear bracket. It...

Sounds like you didn't block the top vents. If it is not vented the top vents must be blocked and a carbon filter added . The metal plates you added don't appear to be air tight.

2 cycle Murray Ultra front tines, quit pulling, will turn if you hold the front end up, but put it down and they stop. need diagram or manual of tiller

I had the same problem. It turns out the gear box was bone dry.
Remove both the left side tines, there is a grease fitting below and
to the right of the tine shaft. Before adding grease remove the air vent screw
which is located above and a little to the left of the tine shaft.(It has a slotted head)
Pump in grease until it comes out the air vent. Replace the air vent screw and the tines.

It appeared to me that there was probably never any grease in it
as it took quite a lot to fill and when it finally came out the air vent it was
new grease, not discolored like you would expect to see when you
would be pushing some old grease out with the new.
