My GE Profile frig is 7 years old. Recently frost was accumulating on the freezer side of the ice maker, specifically around the opening where the ice dispenses on the inside of the freezer. I have had to use a blow dryer to rid the frost. The door appears to be shutting tight and there are no small children around using the frig. Now, on the refrigerator side it is getting very cold and freezing the veggies. I have now turned the digital thermostate down to 3 on the refrigerator side and it is still extremely cold. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Check your thermostat if it is still functioning well.

Open the freezer door and look down the ice chute while you shine a flashlite up the dispenser cute from the outside. If you see light around the chute door, it needs to be replaced. The problem you describe is almost always air laekage around that flap. Post back if you need more help.

Had the same problem. The water line from the valve to the ice maker was cracked due to heat from the compressor.

Your ice maker is overflowing and asking for to mush water to make the ice, you may have a real hi water pressure on your water supply
the is a easy way to adjust that but you are going to have to take
your ice maker out
then using a flat head screw driver remove the white square cover
you will see a gear and a adjustment screw and a lever like this

turn the screw to the minus sing a quarter way and install the ice maker back up.
Or a easier way is just closing the water valve before your fridge a little so it wont have so mush pressure and will not fill your ice maker so fast.
the ice maker feel up buy time not buy water level.

You've probably found the answer long ago, but just in case - we had the same problem, Samsung have a replacement interior panel and fan assembly which addresses the problem. Our was replaced under warranty, and the problem has gone away. I think the new panel has some kind of heater strip to prevent ice accumulation.

I have the same problem with my GE profile which is alomost 7 years old.
Looking for some options here... fridge side vegitables are icing, when I slice a tomato, has all soft ice inside :-( just an example.
I had to good opinion on GE products - this is second big appaliance of GE that we are having problem.
We had GE over the range microwave lost all the mold (broken into pieces) - may be because of the gas cooking.
Saga continiues with dishwasher, getting rusted inside (just 7 yr old ) - GE products no more durable.
