SOURCE: dc11 dyson

I dont think its a problem with the filters if you have normal suction.
If the DC11 cylinder/ canister vac has an air turbine brush / turbo brush check that the drive belt inside it isn't clogged with dirt. If its a toothed belt ensure that it is properly snapped on as well as the other parts in that floor head tool. There may also be dirt clogged in the turbine wheel which is stopping the brush from moving quickly.

SOURCE: rotating brush will not turn on my Dyson DC07

Yes I had the same problem on my animal Dysom. There is a button on the top of the dysom that turns the cacuum on. Right beside that button is another one that turns on and off the brush!!! Good luck!!! I accidently one day bumped that button and couldn't get my brush to work but after troubleshooting it, that was my solution.

SOURCE: Dyson 18 slim the rotating brush bar will not

If the DC18 has a proteted belt then it will have to be replaced by a Dyson engineer or repairer. If the cleaner has a removable sole plate where the beater bar is then remove it and replace the belt - sounds like the belt has snapped and needs to be replaced. if your DC18 is still relatively new it should still be under guarantee.

SOURCE: the brush bar wont spin on my dyson dc 25... i

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

Simply switch the machine off and stand it upright. Press the brush bar on/off switch once and then turn the machine back on.

When you release the machine into the vacuuming position, the brush bar should start to turn again.

If you still having problems, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards
Darran

Dyson DC27 brush drum fails to rotate. Belt is fine.

Dc27 has a motor to spin the brush. It might be the brush bar motor or the power switch to the brush bar motor.

My Power head on my Dyson Animal DC39 will not stay spinning. Suction Issue?

There should be a red insert on the right-hand side on the cylindrical bulge behind the brush cylinder. Check that this is moving when you push the button. The red insert should stay pushed in for the brush to rotate. The insert moves in an out as well as rotates in order to lock in the 'in' position. Mine is a little sticky on the rotation and I need to shake the brush head a little in order to get it to rotate and lock.

Brush roller wont turn, motor is good and the curcuit board appears fine. No evidence of anything blown or broken wires either.

Judging from this parts diagram:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Dyson-Inc-Parts/Vacuum-Parts/Model-DC15BALL/3207/0645000/50026393/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

The brus motor has what appears to be a transmission on it.
If you have it apart apply power and make sure the shaft that fits brush is turning.
If the motor spins but the shaft does not you need to replace the motor asm
If the shaft spins the problem is with the brush or the way the shaft attaches to the brush
