The Led driver is not working no backlight. This is an LG 50LA6200. Is the Led circuit located on the power supply Board?

The control circuit for the LED backlight is most likely located on the main circuit board but it may have a dedicated supply located on the modular power supply.

Most supplies have legends printed on the board and found near the connectors.
With a multimeter, you should be able to verify the outputs,

My 6-month old tv is making intermittent 'buzzing" sounds. It was a Christmas gift and I don't have any paperwork on it but it did come from Costco. What should I do? Thanks so much.

Humming usually begins when the backlight setting is low. For some sets setting the backlight anywhere from 95 to 100 works. Most wok at 100. So turning it up should get rid of the problem. You can follow the 5 steps below to change the backlight setting.

1. Turn the TV on.
2. Press the Menu button on the remote, located right below the channel changing button.
3. Press the down direction button, located at the middle of the remote. Press that button until the backlight is highlighted.
4. Press the right direction button until the backlight is at 100.
5. Press the OK button and then the Exit button until you get back to your picture.

The backlight won't turn on but occasionally will flicker.

Suggest you replace the Inverter. A Backlight goes out all at once.
90% of the time the Inverter is the hardware part at fault.

[ An LCD screen cannot produce enough light by itself.
A Backlight is used to supply the needed extra lighting.
A Backlight is a CCFL.
Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp.
Similar to Fluorescent lighting used in homes, and businesses, but on a much smaller scale

An Inverter is used to required power for the LCD screen, and the Backlight.
Boosts power up for the LCD screen, brings it down for the Backlight.

Replacing an Inverter is a simple job. Replacing a Backlight is not.
The Backlight is located within the LCD screen assembly.

The metal frame of the LCD screen assembly is removed along the edge where the Backlight is located, to access replacing the Backlight.

In the above list for Service Manual, click on > Display Assembly and Display Latch.

This information shows you where the Inverter is located on a Dell Latitude D620 Notebook PC.
The Latitude D620 is part of the Latitude D600 series of Notebook PC's.

Just one place from a quick search, that sells Inverters for a Latitude D600 series Notebook PC,

http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=2895

MATCH the part number listed that they have, to the part number on your Inverter.
You have to have THE correct Inverter.

The bottom part of my screen always blink..it happened when there was a short circuit.. when i opened the main power, the screen slowly show this problem..is it somthing to do with the LCD??

Yes it affects your lcd.... the backlight inverter located on the lower parts of the screen is almost busted....Backlight which is located in the upper and lower portion of your monitor is responsible for giving image and display on your screen. if this light never work then black screen will only be seen in your monitor...

It is too risky to change the backlight inverter by yourself if you don't have the knowldege, skill and the right tools to open your laptop..

My suggestion is to have your backlight replaced by a credible technician...

Hope I answer your question..

Much appreciated if you rate this help.. thanks

Compaq presario V2110US backlight

If the backlight is an intermittent problem, it is likely that the video connector and or the backlight connector needs reseating. There are usually two connectors that connect the LCD display to the motherboard. You need to pull apart your laptop to reveal these connectors (these connectors are usually near the top edge of the laptop). Unplug and reconnect these connectors to re-establish a good connection.
Take note of the locations of the various screws when you remove them (some vary in length) so you can put them back in their correct location.
