The user's guide is available as a PDF from the following site:
http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/notebook/0000/Acer/Aspire5315/Aspire5315ul.shtml I see the 5315 manual in Spanish, French and Portugese. The English manual covers the 5310 series (so it probably include the 5315).

I would start by doing a search on Ebay. Often times you can get parts or a damaged laptop with parts for a very reasonable price. I just did a search for your laptop model and found a damaged Acer Aspire 5315 for $81. As of this posting on 10/31 at 9:10 am CST time, the auction ends in 2 hrs.

After doing a quick internet search, I found a web site called http://www.screencountry.com and I saw a monitor for your model listed at $99.

Inserting an ExpressCard
Insert the card into the slot and push gently until it clicks into position.
