1967 evinrude sport 4 60hp wiring diagram

I am unfamiliar with the model but ignition wiring is almost universal and on a negative earth system a supply from the ignition switch is connected to the positive (+) terminal of the coil, that in earlier times was marked Batt.
The other coil terminal is connected to the contact breaker or ignition amplifier or cdi as applicable...

F.O. is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Rotor turns clockwise. Wire from coil to distributor is from negative side of coil. The positive side of coil is for hot wire originating from ignition switch. Always hot with key on.
For vacuum diagram, just google "1967 Buick Riviera 430 cu in, vacuum diagrams" . It is there.

evinrude 1978 -1979 have a capacity discharge ignition unit as the control for the spark system
it runs wires to an ignition coil
so I would be suspicious of that unit
check all connections for corrosion and bad connections
I typed in electrical schematics for 1978 evinrude out board engine and found a site --www.maxrules.com which in the list of schematics has 55hp 1977-1978
press on that and you get a schematics of the wiring diagram evinrude 1978-1979 55hp
now I am aware that you state that yours is 35 hp but if it has 2 cylinders then it is a fair bet that the wiring diagram will be the same
any way there are plenty of other sites that may be of benefit

Your shogun does come equipped with a voltage regulator to protect your headlight, you shouldn't tap off the ignition circuit or directly off the alternator just for the reasons you listed, plus it can affect these systems unpredictably. Can you tap off the hot side of your horn before the switch, or taillight? If you tap off your headlight it would only work either in the high or low. Of course for the negative (-) side, grounding it any place on the frame is fine. Give these spots a try. Take care and enjoy your ride.

The harness is missing to the batterys and wires cut from 12v-24v switch. For a BFL4TK Trolling Motor. What is the wire schematics for the pedal group????

Take off the top & expose the magneto clean with a fine grit sandpaper that should get fire to the plugs if still no fire u may have.to replace the points

Some of those had a battery ignition with a short cap and rotor, and some had a magneto which reached down into the bucket. Both had points and condenser like an old car. The cog belt location was critical. 2 teeth off and it would not fire. the key switch was wired diferently for each ignition system.

You have either a rectifier or charging coil(magneto) issue. The rectifier changes the AC pulse from the magneto to 12V DC. If that checks out, you'll need to test the magneto. Either case you'll need to have a multimeter handy and access to the factory repair manual for the testing parameters and wiring diagrams. Good luck!

It all depends on the model of engine. If it is a twin engine doesn't it have two magnetos.Very unusual for both to go bad It will depend on the type of ignition(points or solid state) The wire going to the magneto could be the kill switch (kills when grounded) Disconnect it and see if you get spark. IF so then it is in your safety/ignition circuit. If you replace magneto usually the gap is .008-.012
