Turn the carburetor upside down. The float should be level with the bottom of the carburetor.

Replace it. They are just a simple contact switch . Go to the local auto parts store and pick one uo.

With or without remote control?? Disconnect the black/red wire from the CDI, if you have sparks, kill circuit shorted. No spark: check coils 1 . The two pulser coils are located at 1 80°angles to each other and the condenser and battery charge coils are also located opposite of each other under the flywheel. 2. Remove the engine cover. 3. On models equipped with electric starters, disconnect the negative battery cable. 4. Disconnect the connector and black ground wire. 5. On the No. 1 pulser coil, connect the digital multi meter between the black/red wire terminal in the connector and the black ground wire. And the No.2 coil between the white/green wire terminal in the connector and the black ground wire. Resistance should be 260-380 ohms. 6. On the condenser charge coil, measure the resistance between the black/red and green wires. Resistance should be between 1 70-250 ohms. 7. If the resistance reading is not within specification, replace the faulty coil. 8. On the battery charge coil, measure the resistance between the yellow/red and yellow wires, red and yellow wires (DT1 5MC) or the red and yellow wires (DT15CE). Resistance should measure between 0.2 and 0.5 ohms. 9. If the resistance reading is not within specification, replace the faulty coil.

Have a gap of about 0.1mm ( 0.004in)

Hey Rolin, ..could this be a brass tube? It probably a vent tube..it should not be bent or crimped...

the manual shows for a 100 :1 mix the ratio is 4 ounces of oil to 3 gallons of fuel there are two engines and one is 50: 1 ratio so that would be 8 ounces of oil to 3 gallons of fuel there is a pdf version workshop manual at www.motoren.ath.cx and it gives the ratios for all of the 4hp suzuki outboards and the oil to use

No it wont overheat !!! Change the solinoides over on the trimand see if you can raise engine and now not lower ! if yes then replace solinoide !

The power supply is common for all the coils. Have you switched the coils (wires marked 1 and 2)? If still the same coil non sparking, replace that coil. If the same output non sparking, check the pulser coil for that cylinder. Invert both pulser coil connections (white red and white black). If the miss is on the same cilinder, replace the cdi. If the miss is on the other cylinder: replace that pulser coil.

I think you have to look at a fuel supply problem. Clogged carbs or bad fuel pump... Also have a look at your spark plugs...

clean carbs and check set up !

I would clean the fuel filters and empty the water retainer filter then do some testing.

Then two Deep Cycle Gel Batteries, one for the marine electronics, fish finder etc, and another that powers the front bow mounted Trolling motor. You will find them in the deck lockers. Open them, release any tie downs, undo the cables and lift them out for Winter storage. I keep mine in my garage and I put them on a battery minder for 24 hours once a month.
