Can i setup the tew 630apb to run without the ethernet connection to transmit the signal wirelessly from the linksys router thru the trendnet ap to another building?
Unfortunately cyber this does not have a mode or option to act as a repeater .I have check their website and check the specification of the device..You may want to get the WAP54g from Linksys as well for it has that option (act as a wireless repeater) or get the WRE54G wireless extender or repater for Linksys router.

The issue you are facing is very common in nature. The issue can occure due to many reasons. Since the wireless access is related to frequency which again is sensitive to other devices which work on the similar technology like Microwave Owen, cordless phones etc.. All wireless devices which transmit signals have an option to change the frequency in which the signals are transmitted - hence all you need to do is access the setup page on your device (through a wired connection ofcourse ) and change to a different channel (generally the range is between 1 - 11) under the wireless section. Make a note of the name/ SSID you have provided to the device. Save the changes. Now unplug the cable between the computer and the device. On your computer search for the network and once found select and get connected. Now since its the first time. It might take some time for you to identify the right channel but since this task of finding the best channel is done only once. I guess its worth the effort
Router A is connected to the modem. Setup router B to run as access point only. assign an un-used IP address to router B. Turn off the DHCP server on router B. connect a LAN port of router B with a LAN port of router A .do not use the Internet port of router B. do not configure WAN settings in router B. both routers must have the same wireless settings except for the wireless channel which should be different. Set the same SSID and the same wireless security settings on both routers. Good Luck
As a wi-fi technician, it is not recommended to extend the wireless signal using another wireless router. Having 2 wireless routers will just cause conflict to your wireless network. If you still have time, please replace the router with a Wireless Access Point (WAP54G). WAP is easy to setup. Just plug it to one of the ethernet port on the back of your router and run the setup CD that came with it, that's it. It'll extend your signal.
If your main concern is just extending your wireless signal to another far place outside your house, Wireless Range Expander (WRE54G) can also be used. It is a similar device like an Access Point but its signal extending capability is more powerful than Access Point. Its also easy to setup, just the setup CD that came with it.

Look for the MAC address clone feature on the router. If the router does not ahve the auto clone MAC feature, you'll need to manually input the MAC address of your computer.
To get the MAC address or Physical address of the computer do this
Click start>run>type in "cmd" and press okay (without the " ").
On the Command prompt type in ipconfig/all and then press enter, look for physical address.
Then input that on the MAC clone feature of the computer to your router and then power cycle everything (turn everything off and then turn on modem first-then router-then computer).
WLAN light will give you the status of your wireless connection. If WLAN light is off, it might be a possibility that wireless has been turned off or worse is the device had stopped broadcasting a wireless signal. you may try using 192.168.1.1 to get into the setup page of the device to check if wireless has been disabled.

if you want to configure your access point with your router you may try the ff:
Step 1: Connect the Ethernet port of the access point to one of the Ethernet ports of the router Step 2: Make sure the power adapter is plugged to an available power outlet Step 3: Check if the corresponding LEDs on the access point are lit Step 4: After connecting the devices together, configure the access point’s wireless settings Step 5: Open the access point’s web-based setup page Step 6: When the access point’s web-based setup page opens, change the SSID, Channel, and Wireless Security.
