Jenn-air sve47600b oven door hinge

Oven door hinge is difficult to open and close. It hit a point at about 2/3 open when it becomes very difficult to close. Not sure if WD 40 would be flammable in this application. Door used to work fine, but over several months became increasingly difficult to get past the stickiness of the door as you try to open and close it.

Oven door falls open and will not close tight on my Jenn-air Single oven Model #SVE47100w

Hi,

The hinges and receivers would need to be replaced on this. The hinges are part number 71003351 you need 2, they go inside the door, so the door would need disassembled.

The receivers (hinge receptacles)are part number 71002206 you need 2 also, these go on the side of the oven. You will need to pull the oven out a few inches to gain access to these

We have a 30 in prostyle electric double wall oven - the oven takes forever to preheat and the doors do not seal tightly when they are closed.

Hello- Many ovens use spring-loaded hinges to carry the weight of the door. Over time, these springs weaken or the hinge gets bent just enough to not fully close door. The door gasket can also become flat and stiff, compounding problem. Any small gap releases heated air, and oven will not heat up properly. Replacing the door springs should solve problem.- Thanks -Ed

Am negotiating a home inspection on a house with WW30430P Jenn Air Wall Ovens; neither of the doors close. Is there a solution?

There are several models of Jenn-Air ovens that had issues with the door closing. The only solution is to replace the door hinges (unless the doors themselves are bad, you can see this if you open the door, the porcelain on the door will be bulged and cracked right where the hinge joins the door). If the doors are bad, the hinges and the interior door panels need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

One of the oven doors does not close tight so heat escapes. It is a Jenn Aire electric double wall oven model number JJW9627DDS.

Sounds like the oven door hinges have worn. If door is not obstructed in any way and will fully close when pushed but open about half a inch when released then it will be the hinges. Not sure of cost of spairs. I believe this to be a John Lewis Model. If it has a Enr no inside the door or inbetween the door hinges then I could give you price on spares

Jenn-Air electric wall oven door opens slightly when in bake mode

you either have a bent door hinge or a broken door spring.
check the hinges by opening the door and see if it opens past 90 degrees. if it leans towards the floor then the hinges are bent.
if not then your door springs are broken off. you can check this by seeing if the door "feels" heavy when opening.
either way the door should close tight against the frame when up and the light should not come on without opening the door.

It might be because when the door was completely removed ( which they do rather easily for repairs and moving) it wasn't put back properly.
I would suggest you remove the oven door and re install.
You do not remove any screws or anything like that to remove the oven doors.
When you have the oven door open squeeze each hinge and shift then both outwards it will release the door from the hinge, the hinge stays on but the door will slide off the hindge. Afterwards check the alignment and reinstall the oven door

lendebr is right...
Same problem here on combo microwave and convection oven. The hinges are a horribly wimpy design. Jenn air has a replacement part thats helps..but the replacment hinges will do the same thing in very short order. 1 month after I fixed ours my sister in law opened the oven door and let go of the door when it was about 2/3 open and that was all it took to tweak the new hinges so the door doesnt close all the way again. i should have clued in when the girl at Jenn air sent me three sets of replacement hinges. I thought it was a mistake..turns out she knew it wasnt going to fix it permanently.
The moral is that Jenn air appliances are POS and I will not ever buy anything from the again..But I will tell everyone I possibly can not to buy anything from them.

Oven door does not close

I had the same problem. The first time the Tech. came out, put a new hinge in and it held until Nov. 07. ( 8 months ). Then the left hinge brakes when I opend the door and it crashes to the floor. Bending the right hinge and the metal doorliner. Jan.7,08 everything was fixed. On 1/11 after no more then 10 openings & closings the hinge broke again. This time I heard the crack of the braking metal after opening the door 2 inches. It now sits in my kitchen propped-up with a stick, waiting for the repairman. I am sorry I have no solution , but there must be a problem with the hinges. I forgot to tell you that it started with a door that did not close, like yours.
