SOURCE: how to unblock the forbidden
Using your browser, type in the address box the address of the router. The usual address is 192.168.1.1. This will open the maintenance page of the router. Depending on the brand and the model of the router, locate for a menu indicating Access of Filter. You should see or locate a part that indicates URL BLOCKINg. There are 2 ways to unblock a site. First is to DISABLE the URL Blocking by clicking on the necessary check box of option box. Second is to delete the name of the site in the list of sites being blocked.
Good luck.

Sorry - I've been out of town. A few things. Just in case you upgraded the firmware through a wireless connection you should never do this. Let me know what operating system you're using just so I know. Before you actually reset the router to factory defaults, if you haven't done it already, I want you to go to a command prompt. In XP start>run>type "cmd" without the quotes and then click on ok. In Vista click on start to open your search box and type "cmd" When you click ok it may ask for your permission so just tell it to go ahead. At the prompt type ipconfig and let me know the sets of numbers that come up. Read through this and please answer all the questions when replying. Thanks.
Jeff
P.S. - Also if you want, if you don't have it fixed yet, send me a email at [email protected] I might have a quicker way to fix this than sending comments back and forth all day and night.
SOURCE: Hi I cant configure my router D-link DIR-300
This definitely worked for me. To find out your computer's MAC address, just go to start, then click run, then type 'CMD'. When prompted, type 'ipconfig/all'. Find your ethernet adapter local area network connection, and underneath you will find a lablel titled Physical Address. This is your MAC address and should consist of 6 pairs of number/letter combinations. Then connect your computer to the modem, eithe wirelessly or directly and point your browser to 192.168.0.1. Under Setup click Internet Setup and then click Manual Internet Connection Setup. Under Internet Connection Type, select Dynamic IP (DHCP), then under MAC address, type in the MAC address of your computer. Click Save Settings and Presto! It worked for me.
