Everytime I try to access my yahoo email my computer freezes.

    that is really impossible in one pc. well you can try switching off to current user account u are using to another user account there i think you can log in on yahoo mail...try it.

    Yahoo Email access problems
    Hi all ,

    As of December 2009......

    If you have been unable to access your Yahoo email recently , even though your password and user ID are correct , and your screen and computer just freezes up , please try this very simple solution......

    It seems that for people using a computer screen resolution of less than 1024 x 768 , the new all singing all dancing Yahoo Email goes haywire when you try to use it. But for some strange reason other Yahoo emails may display correctly without any problem using the same computer.

    Solution: Change your computer screen resolution to at least 1024 x 768

    How: right click on your desktop picture , scroll down to `properties` or `display properties` and left click it , then select the `settings` tab , or keep clicking the tabs until you see a slider bar showing the screen resolution. Drag the bar to at least 1024 x 768 , click on `apply` and then `ok` , and then try logging into your Yahoo Email again. This time it should work.

    TODAY everytime I try to open an email in my Yahoo.com account, it goes to youcansearch,com without opening the mail??
    Close Internet Explorer
    Click Start
    Click All Programs
    Click Accessories
    Click System Tools
    Click "Start Internet Explorer (no add-ons)"
    Access Yahoo, and check your E-mail.
    If it works, then one of the "add-on" programs is "hijacking" your web-browser.

    Or, you've got a computer-virus on your computer.

    It has changed the file: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS

    to access 'youcansearch' (by IP-address) when you try to access the Yahoo web-site.

    I can access all yahoo topics except my mail. when I get to my mail my computer freezes without opening the mailbox, and will not even let me x the page.
    If this is Yahoo email try to access your email on-line through a browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. If not successful, check on another computer.

    Assuming you can now confirm that the problem is with your computer check that your privacy and firewall settings are not too restrictive.

    Why does my microsoft lifecam vx-3000 freeze everytime I try to use it on Yahoo? The microphone works fine, but once I try to turn on the camera, it freezes after about 2 seconds.
    You should check that the webcam ports for the Yahoo messenger are open on your firewall and router, and make sure the Yahoo messenger application is allowed to access those ports (defined as an exception in your firewall).

    well try to access your yahoo mail from different computer.If you are able to access it that means some virus has malfunctioned in your PC which is not allowing you to access the mail and if you are not able to access your yahoo inbox from different Computer then it surely the problem of Yahoo and in that case you need to contact Yahoo.
    Also try to access your yahoo inbox from different browser.

    Unable to open mail
    You could try going to your Tool Bar and choosing Internet Options. Then change whatever address is in your homepage box to www.yahoo.com and restart your computers. It may allow yahoo to work. good luck!
