SOURCE: Can't remember password

If this is a router with included wireless, you can physically connect via a hard wire to the unit, bring up the computer, and go to a DOS prompt (START, RUN - in the box type CMD followed by RETURN or ENTER), in the black box type IPCONFIG/ALL and note the GATEWAY address. In a web browser, type the GATEWAY address. It should prompt for the router access. From there, you should be able to see and even reset the WEP or security key found. If you need to reset it, you can reset it by pressing a button on the back of the unit. It is a very small pin-hole type accessible by a paperclip.

SOURCE: forgotten password for D-Link DSL G604T wireless router

These are the default settings:

When the login window appears, set the user name to Admin and leave the password box empty. If this doesn't work, you may also try admin for both username and password (all small letters).

If the default doesn't work, you may reset the password by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds. This will bring the router to factory default settings (including all the configurations set on the router).

Hope this helps.

ADSL Router DSL-G604T

all ADSL routers are very fussy when it comes to power fluctuations, even the tiniest can set them into error, first thing to try, is pull the power cord out of the back of the modem, wait a couple of minuteds, then plug it back it, give it a few moments to re-connect and see how it is, if no luck with that, check the DSL, or ADSL light is on and solid.. if so look on the bottom of the modem for an ip address, open internet explorer browser, type that ip address into the address bar and hit enter, it should prompt you for a username and password.. usually ADMIN for both user and pass.. then go to "status" or "diagnostics" depending on the modem, and it will give you a run down on any potential problem..

PPP error: username and password are wrong (Authentication Failure)
