Phone not ringing in normal mode

I believe this is a programming issue.

To change the ringing assignments on extensions enter programming mode by pressing Feature **266344 and password 266344 if it hasn't been changed. You have to do this from an M7310 phone. The top two buttons on each side will move you through programming. The top right button is the SHOW button and the button below it is the NEXT button. The top left button is the HEADER button and the button below it is the BACK button.

Your first category should be TERMINALS & SETS. Press the SHOW button and using the dial pad enter the extension number. The display should show the extension number or name. Press SHOW three times and the display should show LINE ___.
With options to SCAN or LIST. Pressing SCAN will show the lines assigned to the extension. Use the CHNG option to change how the line is on the phone. RING ONLY - UNASSIGNED - APPEAR ONLY - AND APPEAR & RING. Change the lines you want to ring in NORMAL DAY MODE to APPEAR & RING for this extension and press SCAN to move to the next assigned line. Use this same method for any extension you want to change the ringing on.

Please i need help on how to program extension on each phone

The FixYa GuessYa is that you want to program the extensions on the spare buttons on each phone. The 12 left side buttons will let you do that, the 12 buttons on the right are pretty much worthless, but this is a 77xx series phone, right?

To program extensions on the left side, label the strip, then press PROGRAM the button and dial 1 + extension and STORE. Keep doing that until you run out of buttons. If you slip and accidently reassign a line button, those are programmed with 0 + line number (1-8 in a TA series) STORE.

Pick up the handset and drop it back down when you're finished to exit programming. In a TA-824, there's a programming tool that let's you do this from a computer and copy buttons, but most of the time it's a lot easier to just do it by hand.

OK, I'm nearly there. I've worked out how to label the extension, how to re-do the extension numbers on the phones and change their position. The only problem I have is when I re-do the extension the light...

You're using the buttons on the left side of the phone? What does it read when you press PROGRAM and the programmed button? A TA series does not have "on hook" dialing, you have to press the SP PHONE button or pick up the handset. If the button is programmed properly, the display will read EXT-xxx when you press PROGRAM and the corresponding button on the left side. It will also follow the on-hook/off-hook status of the extension.

I need to change the extension's programmed on the left side of the one-touch dialing. Thanks

Press PROGRAM, the button and dial 1 plus the extension of the new number and STORE. You can keep touching new buttons and dial the sequence ending in STORE.

Press PROGRAM to end.

Programming extensions in the phone

If you have manual(z), they should. One, the OM (operating manual) will tell you how to set up your personal programming.

The buttons on the left side of a 7730 have lights, the buttons on the right do not, so they are programmed differently. Left side is DSS, right side is PF (personal feature). If you have spare left side buttons, press PROGRAM the button and dial 1 plus the ext number and STORE. The light will now follow the activity of the extension you programmed.

The buttons on the right have no lights, so you can only put in extension speed dial numbers. For that, press PROGRAM, the button, and dial the 3 digit extension number and STORE.

Depending on the system your phone is connected with, you can just press the button to dial, or you have to pick up the handset or SP-PHONE and select intercom (if not selected) and it will dial that extension, or if the system is a TAW, TD or higher, just press the button.

I am tring to figure out how to program extensions on our kx-t7737 phone.

A 773x phone has 24 buttons, 12 are lighted and 12 are Feature. If you want to reassign some of the lighted buttons as extension buttons on the phone, you can press PROGRAM 1 + ext no STORE and that will give you a busy indication whenever that extension is off hook.

You can program the right side buttons to speed dial the extensions by just pressing PROGRAM ext no STORE. It will dial the extension when you press it if you have intercom dial tone.

How the button behaves is dependent on which system the phone is attached to. In a TA, you have to start with dial tone on the intercom. In a TAW/TDA you don't.

How can i program the extensions directly on the phone, without having to dial them.

It depends on how many lighted spare buttons you have. in a TA type system, you press PROGRAM, press a spare button, and dial 1+ the extension you want to dial and STORE. If you just want a speed dial to an extension, you can program them on the right side by PROGRAM, button, ext, and STORE.

With the lights, you can monitor the progress of the extension users. It's called DSS (direct station selection) in the manuals.

If you have a TA or lower system, you have to pick up the handset or press SP PHONE and make sure you're on the intercom, then press the buttons. In a TAW or greater, you can just press the button and pick up the handset or the SP PHONE will go on automatically.

3. Enter the name ( basically the same as texting on a cellphone ). Press AUTO DIAL / STORE to save your change.
4. To go to the next extension press SP-PHONE. Don’t forget to press AUTO DIAL / STORE to save your change after each name entered.
