Tank should not have a breather, the fuel cap does that function. Check your fuel lines and where they penetrate the tank. Today's fuel will eat the fuel line over time and there is also dry rot. The fuel lines on these need to be monitored over time to ensure continued safe operation of small engine equipment.

I hope this is helpful for you.

My echo 210 primer bulb does not fill only pressurizes the tank

The fuel line hook up is wrong. Ok, so look at the two nappies on back of the bulb assy. The long nipple is for the fuel return line, (the line without the fuel filter that returns to the tank) the short nipple , that line goes to the fuel barb on the carburetor, on the same side as the bulb assy.. then on the opposite side of the carburetor find the fuel barb, connect the fuel line to that barb and into the tank where the fuel filter is on the end of that,... If you have trouble understanding what I mean, hmu.

Gears on my Mcculloch Chester 510 Hedgetrimmer may

The problem was with a stripped gear on a mcculloch hedge trimmer. I chucked it on the scrap heap and am borrowing my father-in-law's machine until I have time to shop for a new trimmer. Problem solved, but sadly not owing to your service this time.

Mcculloch petrol hedge trimmer, no petrol seems to be getting into the primmer button, so i can not start it

There should be a strainer on the fuel intake line in the fuel tank. Take it out and clean or replace it, and check the fuel lines for cracks or leaks. If this doesn't fix it, disassemble and clean the primer button. There should be a little one way flap valve that opens to allow fuel to be sucked in from the fuel tank and closes to push the fuel into the carburetor.
