check the compressor if its running or not if not check its low pressure switch may be the unit is lack of refrigerant or if this one have a PC board change it maybe the old PC board is not functioning thats why the compressor is not running
Simple if the ice maker is not filling with water after cycling then fill ice maker until full allow water to freeze and if the ice maker drops the ice into the ice bin and then does not refill with water replace the=> WR57X10051 Water Inlet Valve If the Ice Maker does nothing with ice still inside the ice cube slots then replace the=> WR30X10093 Ice Maker Assembly These ice makers are electronic and once they fail there is no replacable parts. I am here should you have questions, Thanks Sea Breeze
if you press the arm that slides out to feel the ice all the way in three times within a few seconds, this should start a harvest cycle. If it does, then you know it can cycle and you have a temperature issue.
your ice can freeze even at 25 degrees, but it won't harvest unless it is getting to about 8 degrees or colder, so check the temps in the freezer
Hi, I have a GE TFX24E refrigerator. The ice maker is not filling with water. I replaced teh water valve with no joy. If I pour a cup of water into the dispenser the ice maker will freeze and harvest the ice. Any ideas? Is there a replaceable water fill sensor?
Hi, The dial you are referring too adjusts water level into ice maker (1/4 of an ounce in either direction), I would leave it alone. I would not adjust it for it can cause jamming or over filling. I hope this helps
the condensate tube is run incorrectly on this model and goes uphill into the area above the refrigerator where there is a condensate pan. This will plug and back up and cause this problem. I have fixed ours several times but it always came back. The last time I bought a new clear plastic tube and reran the condensate out the back of the refrigerator and down through my floor. It's all downhill now and seems to have fixed the problem.
Your model has the electronic control behind the front cover and not very serviceable. The part number providing your refrigerator is the PSW26P model the ice maker part number would be WR30X10093 for that Model. You may also take into consideration that it is also a possible bad water valve on the rear leaking after shut off. That would show up as water running over the sides and the freezing and possibly freezing the fill tube in the back of the ice maker causing water to go everywhere. But most likely it is the control board inside the front of your ice maker. Thanks Sea Breeze
Problems COULD be a lot of things... but since you have gone to all the trouble to locatize A PROBLEM... I would LOOK
right there first... and fix that...
PLASTIC FITTINGS do often split and fail... or simply need to be reseated and firmly tightened... (do not overtighten).
Water valve... too strong... (probably not)...
BECAUSE a leaky water delivery can have
a profound effect on the fill of the ice cube tray...
Allow the refrigerator to stabilize... SEVERAL DAYS
and then start worrying about the fill level...
Ice makers are TYPICALLY adjustable for different water flows.
so the amount of water delivered per cycle... or delivery of small cubes ... even the frequency of delivery can usually be adjusted
Worry about that LEAK first.
Check out the link below... A whole new head is still available for your refrigerator
but wouldn't it be nice if it were only an inexpensive PLASTIC coupling or a split PLASTIC feeder tube...??
