There is something wrong with my flash screen. It's Black. Everytime I try to take pictures on My Finepix z fujifil blue digital camera the screen goes black, and when I go to see what I took a picture of it shows just a black screen. But everything else on my camera works. I don't know how or why this happened but the pictures I took before the screen all of a sudden turned black I can see perfectly fine on my camera. Does this just mean that the LCD light blew out and I would have to take it to get it fixed and buy a new one ? If you could get back to me ASAP that would be great. Thank You ! :)

Flash screen? What? You mean even in pictures with flash disabled (and the flash does drag down the electronics in the thing; make a replacement using an LED lamp and circuit if you have a chance) it takes no picture and leaves you with a black LCD? Are you indeed using a good battery (they go bad gradually (depending on the case on how many times you fire the flash!)) New battery first!

Try to format your flash memory and see if that is bad, both internal and external? Then try shutter speeds to get shutters working.

If you take pics and transfer at pc... the same condition appears when you transfer this pics at PC ? If yes, and the problem continue, first... could be a problem with the LCD viewer screen, or, if not, coudl be the CCD image sensor go to bad; in both cases this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

I suggest check THIS LINK for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and next contact your Canon service. I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

I Havee The Same Problem And Ive Been Reading Around And The Most Decent Answer I Found About What Was Wrong Was That Something Had Just Come Loose Inside So That Might Help Because Something Wiring Upo To The Screen Might Be Loose Its Worth A Shot.

Your pictures will usually come out black if you're taking those against the light. Check the lighting or your flash (esp. when it's dark - flash is needed). You should know if your camera is for indoor or outdoor use.
