What is the problem of my computer when i turn on the only thing i see in my computer is power saving mode

I'm guessing that what you are seeing is the standard monitor message displayed when no signal is being received from the computer.

1. Check to see if your PC is receiving power. Does everything light up? Are you getting the standard beeps and boops? If not try troubleshooting that.

2. Check the video cable connection to the monitor and the PC. Sometimes these things come loose. If that not, try a different video cable if you have one.

3. Some monitors are more advanced than others and come with different inputs, much like a TV. Make sure you are set on the correct input for your PC.

Think about it like a detective. Deduction is the best option when dealing with electronics.

I cant run my gateway GT5676 pc in normal mode with Samsung TV / Monitor

If I'm understand you correctly you said you have the HDMI Cable and the VGA Cable comming from the Computer to the TV. You should only have one cable. Either use the HDMI from the computer to the HDMI to the TV or use the VGA from the Computer to the VGA on the TV. Once you have the cable connect select your input on the TV. If you have the VGA Cable connected your input to select on the tv will probably be PC or Computer. If you use the HDMI Cable your input to select on the TV will be HDMI.

One you connect the cables and select the input try rebooting the computer and the video might show up automatically on the tv. If not you will have to hit the FN (Function key) + the correct (F1 thru F12) key that corresponds to the external display. The correct key will probably have CRT/LCD on it or it might have the icon of a display. Press and Hold the FN key then hit the correct key (F1 thru F12) that toggles the display. The display will toggle on 3 setups (Computer only, TV only, both the TV and Computer).

Now as for not being able to boot up normally that's another issue.

When I turn the monitor on I get a message "In

Most Dell LCDs have multiple inputs and they will go into "standby" while waiting for a signal from your PC. This happens when your PC goes into "sleep" mode or if you are sure your PC is not in "sleep" mode then usually the LCD is not in the correct input selection. Check the input selection for the appropriate input. As always, make sure the cables are securely connected. Hope this helps.

Check the cable, to make sure that it's plugged into the monitor and the computer.
After that restart the computer - some computers only detect monitors right when it turns on.

How to eliminate error screen:"your tv does not allow display of this program through the dvi input source. please chose another tv input source."

"cable box to tv is hdmi cable"

Everything I've read on the web says cable box to tv connection must also use component (rgb) cables. The error is coming from the cable box (STB). All the Scientific Atlanta (SA) cable boxes seem have this Digital Rights Management (DRM) bug and the only way to be totally rid of the error is to replace the digital connection from box to the TV with an analog connection.

Monitor won't stay on. Error message comes up that says "no input signal", then monitor goes out.

Problem with the monitor, monitor cable, or video output. For monitor, if you have more than one input, make sure it's set to the correct one. Try a different cable. Try a different monitor. Check your video card settings--if you see the BIOS bootup screen while it's coming up then the Windows splash screen, then monitor blanks out, it's a Windows display setting. Boot into safe mode, then change settings--
  • Turn the computer on or Restart the computer
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Boot Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected (the top option)
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
  • When you are finished with troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.
