Hi.

You may download all the Drivers and Applications for the Windows 7 64-bit Operating System from the below link:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNCR240E&SelectOS=6

Please select the Operating System as "Windows 7 64-bit Operating System" and then download the required Drivers or Applications.

Once you have installed the Drivers and Applications, please restart the Computer for the settings to take effect.

Hope this helps.

Please feel free to contact for further assistance.

Thank you.

Suresh

Need driver for sony vaio VGN-TZ27GN built in web...

There probably is not a driver specifically for Windows 7.
Usually you will have to use the one for Windows Vista.
Windows 7 is only a glorified version of Vista anyway.

Go here:Drivers
Select the Downloads tab, then select the operating system.
If you have 32 bit Win 7 then select the 32 bit Vista.

If you have home premium then select the same for Vista.

In the next drop down menu select Original Driver.

There is one for Vista called camera module driver

I have a sony vaio vgn-sz491n. i have loaded windows 7 professional, 64bit onto it. in the device manager, it shows that a driver for a mass storage controller is missing. where can i find this...

Most likely missing a driver for SD/MC card reader
The problem is that Sony doesnt offer drivers for 64-bit windows so the other 32-bit drivers will not be compatible.
You have the options to install the windows versions supported by sony from esupport.sony.com (Vista or XP)
Or try installing windows 7 32-bit and installing the missing drivers from esupport (Vista section) as usually they are compatible.
If the driver is still missing you will need to update the driver from device manager (previously installed from esupport) and then select to browse or select a location, which will be %temp% or what is the same the temp folder for your account C\users\your_user_name\appdata\temp. This folder is usually hidden but it will work if you just type %temp%

I installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit on my sony vaio vgn-fz430e,its a vista preloaded with no support from sony for windows7. i managed to fix all the issues exept the camera.it doesnt even recognize it in...

I have this same computer. Didn't it come with 32-bit Vista, cause mine did. The hardware of the camera may not be compatible with 64-bit. Also, did you do a clean install? Cause that's what I did by mistake when installing Windows 7 and none of my hardware worked. I ended up switching back to Vista because Sony did not provide any drivers for Windows 7 for this computer.

Hey guys im having problems with my sony dvd drive. I recently installed windows 7 due to my vista completely turning to ****. I understand that the OS is still new and there is a lot that needs to be...

You may try with these troubleshooting steps.

These steps are applicable for either Windows XP or Vista OS. But you can perform the same in the Windows 7 OS.

Option 1: Try installing Sony Registry Update for CD/DVD Drives:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNNR180E&upd_id=2031&os_id=28

Option 2: Try deleting UpperFilters and LowerFilters Registry values as mentioned:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314060&SD=SONY

http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C299114

http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C501168

The exact solution is delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters Registry values and then restart the Computer.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

32 Bit or 64 Bit Windows Vista ( 3 Questions)?

Answer 1: The 64-bit version of Vista includes a 32-bit bubsystem to run 32-bit apps. I have not encountered a problem with it yet.
Answer 2: The power is consumed by hardware, not software, so with the same power settings you will see no difference in battery life.
Answer 3: Sorry, I couldn't locate any information about that model. You may be able to find appropriate drivers from other sources by pulling all available details from your existing drivers and searching the mfr website for them.
