Usually half a cup of raisins and usually there is a beep when to add, but can be added the second knead cycle. depends on the recipes. How do I make a loaf of gluten-free bread moister and lighter in texture

Look for gluten free recipes that incorporate guar gum and / or xanthan gum (which you can get at health food stores: inexpensive and they go a long way.) Once you get an idea of quantities, you can experiment with adding them to your own favourite gluten-free recipes. These natural ingredients are what many commercial gluten-free bread makers use.

Gluten free recipes for a B1650

Gluten free recipes are thicker and stickier than wheat and will probably wreck your bread maker. I had a 2500 model and it broke while making a gluten free bread, so yours will likely be the same. I found it best to keep the dough more liquidy than solid to avoid extra strain on the motor and paddles, but it will affect the outcome. There are lots of gluten free recipes on the internet, just do a simple web search.

These are fussy models and have lots of issues - if you are still covered under warranty just contact B & D, they were great at sending me a new model after mine broke under warranty. It sounds like yours is broken beyond repair, it is likely cheaper to replace it. Try contacting the company, they should be able to help you best.

White bread not rising

A couple of ideas. Firstly get fresh yeast, I use active dry yeast from the bulk barn, it is way cheaper than "breadmaker yeast" and I use a bit more. When I want more rise to my bread, I add an egg, which works wonders.

Bread is pushing the lid open

Be sure you follow the recipe carefully. If you are already doing that consider using 1/2 teaspoon less yeast and 1-2 tablespoons less liquid. Also anytime a loaf is close to pushing the lid up just plunge a wooden shiska bob stick down into the loaf a couple of times and the gas in the loaf will leak out and it will settle down. Do this quickly and close the lid.
