Here is a parts diagram for the air compressor:

There are a couple of things to look for on the air compressor.

You will need to see if the piston ring is damaged or if you have a broken reed on the valve plate.

These are typically the two most common problems with this model.

There are a few things you will need to check.
If the unit is making more noise that it has in the past then the CAC-1212 tube seal could be damaged. If the compressor is not making more noise than normal then you will need to check the piston ring on the piston as well as the both the intake and exhaust reed on the valve plate plate.

Here is a parts diagram for you to view:

those pipes will get hot. they shouldn't change color or anything though. If it is getting very hot, your cylinders must be getting hotter than normal and have heat transfer as well as heat of compression.

Hi, I have a 15 gal dewalt air compressor model

This model compessor has developed many problems all related to the unusually high cutoff pressure of 200psi. Most all single stage compressors cutoff at about 125- 140psi to keep amp draw to a minimum. Reduce the cutoff pressure as low as possible for job to extend the life of you unit. Locate pressure switch and remove cover to expose adjustment nut. There are generally two adjustments. One for pressure cutout and the other for differential. Sometimes instructions are under cover to switch. Good luck.

Yes, all compressor motors have a reset button, usually marked by an arrow. Push it in till it clicks, should be ok. They usually conk off when they are lacking power, like when the compressor is running and somebody fires up the skil saw, off goes the reset.Hope this helps.

Compressor continues to run but doesn't refill so

Check if the compression relief valve fails to close. This is often a part of the pressure switch. It bleeds the cylinder head pressure so the motor can start it without load.

Second thing to check is the check valve which is OFTEN where the pipe from the compressor goes into the tank. These can get debris under the seat and no pressure will result.

Dewalt angled finish nailer, just got, when nose

if air is released when the trigger is pulled then stops when the trigger is released , then the trigger is doing its job. its probably a firing valve issue. four screws will take off the top cap of the gun the firing valve is inside of the cap . first check to see if the gun has enough oil( unless its an oil less gun) if its dry then grease or oil all of the orings, if this dose not work check to see if any of the orings or plastic parts need replacing. pls rate this answer...;tks

Cordless nailer dc616 shoots couple of times then

Check to see that battery is pushed tightly up against its seat. I recommend you take it out and reinstall with a little extra umpfgh to the process. Also, it could be either the battery isn't charged enough, or you need a new gas cartridge in the unit

My dewalt emglo air compressor has been pumping up

Sounds like the pressure relief valve......It works as a relief so when the motor comes on it is not under a load/pressure. Much eiser to start not under a strain.........

would best guess that the pressure switch is stuck shut. if the pressure is going over 125psi, "and check with a good gauge" then the switch needs to be replaced.

We can appear to find a supplier of the coiled

Usually they don't have to be the same brand as the nailer. You should be able to find something that works at Lowes or The Home Depot as well as many lumber yards.
