boot files missing run a OS repair with OS disc recover and backup your data then do a proper clean OS installation to replace all kernel32 and boot sectors on boot drive

Certain models talk to a chip in the adapter, sounds like this one has gone bad. At this point you can live with, buy a new one or pick up a used. This is a fairly popular model and you should be able to locate one from a dead laptop.

Hi, once you forgot your password and for no reason to recall it. Just press cntrl-alt-del keys simultaneously and log in using username=administrator and password is none. The default username of your computer if not altered is administrator. Once you successfully logged in you can edit your forgotten password in users properties.

if you have a backup u can restore from a backup. if you don't then call dell if dell says they can't do anything about it then through the piece of **** away and get an hp because every dell product i have had has failed heres a list of dell products i have owned: dell pocket dj5,dell inspiron 1501,dell desktop 2400,dell latitude c600 (that was the worst dell product i have ever owned) and a dell printer. witch is just a lexmark printer with dell logo on it. take my advise and never buy a dell ther are the worst hard ware company i have ever had to deal with!!! i just stick with emachines and western digital,seagate (western digital and seagate are hard drive companies)

Hi To reset your BIOS password means removing your case so if your not happy doing this take it to your local PC repair shop but if you want to do it yourself here is how Remove the battery from the laptop and then remove the case, once you can access the mainboard locate the BIOS battery remove this and leave it out for a good 3 - 5 mins then replace. this should clear the BIOS and remove your password, there may also be a jumper on the mainboard if you jump this it will clear the BIOS without having to remove the battery, once put back together your password will have gone and you can access your BIOS again Regards Cliff Cook MCP

Hi This error code means that the Hard disk is not being detected during the POST part of the boot up, this means the HDD has failed, you have a loose connection to the HDD and the system cannot find it. Open the case and check your connections if thay are all ok and the error still shows then the drive has failed and you will need a new HDD if your unit is still under warranty contact Dell who will sort a replacement HDD, infact if your unit is still under warrenty don't open the case to check your connections just call them and thay will sort it for you . Try removing your battery and then putting it back. If that doesn't work, then either your hard drive is bad or maybe even your motherboard is bad. If you can get into your computer's BIOS, check and see if it will allow you to do a system restore from the BIOS page. As stated above, it is probably that your hard drive is bad.
