Sounds like the fan is bad. It can be replaced without replacing vent.

the contact may be loose but most likely the burner needs to be replaced. the one you use the most usually goes first, and not getting hot enough is the common indicater of a shot burner

Just change big fuses in box.

Did you spill water near/on knobs? if so leave to dry out for 24 hours. If still clicking after 24 hours one of the switches has shorted out and needs to be replaced. You can find which one with a multi meter/condinuity test. Hope this helps...Good Luck

can't. replace top

did you spill liquid on the cooktop? sometimes if you just let it sit for a few days to let it dry out it will fix itself. but if you spilled oil on it it will not fix itself. you have a bad spark module and the only way to fix that is to remove the cookyop fromt he burner box. and find where all the wire go into this usually redish orange box sometimes its blue. but that is your spark module. let me know if you have any more questions

you CAN use the skillet, but not with great results id assume, it holds too much heat, and problaby a bit too rough underneath and would probably scratch the glass top, in a family business for over 20 yrs. now and thats my recomendation, my brother also in the same feild swears his wife uses it with no issues!!!

since it is a glass top. there must be a crack on the surface. the cleaning liquid short out the elements. and it will stay that way till th liquid dry.
use a hair dryer to heat up the surface and see if you can see the crack. it may be a hairline crack.
once it is dry, it should turn on, unless there something else having a problem.

While the cook top is cool, use a razor blade scraper to remove most of the melted plastic.  Turn on the cook top to warm the remaining plastic slightly, turn off the cooktop,  and then wipe off the excess.
