How to set time with new control board?
You may set the clock on your Microwave per page 6 of the User Guide by following the steps below. We've included the link for the User Guide below.

This is a 12 hour clock and does not show a.m. or p.m. To Set: Before setting, make sure the oven, Timer and Timed Cooking are off. 1. Press CLOCK. 2. Press the HR or MIN "up" or "down" arrow pads to set the time of day. 3. Press CLOCK or START/ENTER. To Disable: The clock time can be disabled so that it does not show on the display. To disable, press and hold CLOCK for 5 seconds. To display the clock time again, press and hold CLOCK for 5 seconds and the time of day will show on the display. The clock time should not have to be reset.

E-1 & F-5 come on after about a minute when
The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.
The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...
Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.
If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.
Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

The display is not working
Hi!!
Unplug unit from wall outlet for 10 min. to reset the microcomputer. If this do not work, make sure the unit hasn't been set to Sabbath Mode by accident, when this happens there is no display on the board. Check your user manual to enter/exit the Sabbath Mode. If this is not your case, disconnect the unit form the wall outlet, check the flat connector from the membrane Switch (on the control panel assembly) to the microcomputer (PCB).
In case the unit works but the the only problem is the display, replace membrane switch. Here is a diagram of the Control Panel Assembly and components.

Whirlpool oven is remains locked
Others have had this problem, and there is a good web blog about what you can try to free it up. Here is the blog:
http://www.applianceaid.com/clean-lock.html
In case none of this works, the unit will have to be troubleshot. Chances are that it's either a bad control board, or faulty solenoid that controls the switch. Good luck, and hope this helps.

GMC305PD
appears that it is starting up the self cleaning feature ( which runs the temp up to the max to burn off any grease etc ) and locks the door.. You may have a defective control board.. or check the self cleaning switch position to make sure that is not activated... Hope that helps..
