First turnoff the warm air humidifier Bionaire, and from the electrical outlet, you maydisconnect the plug. If there is any container of water from the filtrationsystem and base of the humidifier, you may remove it. By using a towel soakedwith white vinegar, the humidifier's base should be rubbed down. Use warm waterfor washing the base, and use sterilized paper towels or lint-free fabric totumble it dry. The container of water should be emptied. For eliminating thesediment as well as the bulk of grime, you may wash it with warm water. Thewater container should be filled with a cup of white vinegar and warm water.Now, for 20 minutes you may let the treatment sit for the moment. Softly rubthe container with a soft-bristled scrubbing-brush till all scales and depositsof minerals vanish away. The vinegar treatment solution should be left empty.Using warm water, you may completely soak the water container. At this point,you may use sterilized paper towels or lint-free fabric. The filter should bereplaced and on the Bionaire humidifier base, the water container should bereattached. You may now refill and start using your humidifier machine. on that model that you have you need to turn the unit off , take the water tank off, then the base where the fan is should come off. under the main base the filter will be under that. all you do is take the old filter off and put the new filter on. if you have any other questions please let us know.

turn the unit off then take the tank off then the base which is the fan portion and the filter fits right there.. if it's a round filter then it slips right on. now if it's the squares they will slip into some slots and usually they will take about 4 if that's the case. if you have any other question please feel free to let me know.

the filter goes under the base. when you take the tank off you should be able to remove the reset of the unit off the base. inside you will see a round part that has your current filter on it. that's where the filter goes. now if there isn't a filter on it already and you have one that's where you put it. if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

I have the same model; it has a little disk about the size of a dime at the bottom of the well where the mist comes out. That metal disk gathers white scale on it, Clean that off. The best way I have found is with a Waterpik turned all the way up. The scale keeps the disk from vibrating.

I think you may have the model number wrong. You have given the model of the filter that replaces the BWF100 and HWF100 filter for some models of Bionaire humidifiers. All of these models start with BCM. Since you mention that you have a tower model, I think you need the manual for the BCM658 from http://www.bionaire.com/service-and-support/product-support/instruction-manuals/humidifiers/humidifiers-manual.html .
