When the phone dropped, the flex that connect the screen to the main board might have been disconnected partially, if the screen does not look disfigured or have any crack then it is the flex that is causing the screen shimmers at times.

The solution to that is to remove the battery cover, the battery and the sim, then unscrew the phone to dismantle it, after doing that, carefully locate the flex and replace it with a new one or sit it properly.

After doing this, your phone should be in good shape once again.

Warning: Do not enter any wrong unlock unlock codes on your Sony Ericsson Z300A mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.

1 - Switch ON your Sony Ericsson Z300A mobile phone without any SIM Card,
2 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
3 - Press the button * twice,
4 - Press the left arrow key/button once,

Unlock codes can be only provided by your service provider , so you need to call your service provider and give your IMEI number , and they will provide your unlock code.

You must order a battery that is specifically made for your phone. The fact that you have a battery not made specifically for your phone is what the problem is here. Battery is probably junk. Find a friend with the same phone & test the phone before you buy a battery. You migh find a local phone store that will check the phone before you buy a new battery. Otherwise its ebay. Don't spend too much as these were not the best phones even when new.

If the same SIM card works well in another phone ie. your calls come through OK, then the problem must be with the actual phone set.
If not, ie. your calls are diverted to your voice box (answering service) then cancel the divert.

Seems Battery is not fully charged. Try to charge battery using universal charger then try to switch on the phone.

Contact your service provider, they should know if you can change networks.It is a 2 & 3G only phone so that will restrict it as 3G is now obsolete.
