i also have lg kp 110 ,it is not reading my airtel prepaid sim card plz give me solution....

Remove the battery and leave it out of the phone. Put the battery and the phone in a plastic zip lock bag with dry rice. Close the top of the bag and leave the phone and battery in the bag for 3 to 5 days. The phone will return to normal when it dries out. If you use it while it is wet you risk damaging the phone.

It could be your charger. Even though charger light is on it maybe defective. Can you put in another phone or borrow one and/or charger from a friend?

I swear this sounds like a low power problem but I am sure you have checked this and I don't want to insult your intelligence. Let's make sure the battery is charged and good. These cell batteries, because they are so fragile and volatile, actually have some mildly complicated circuitry built into them for temperature sensing, short circuit overload, charge rate, peak charge detection, polarity, voltage sensing. They can just fail out of the blue. Try it with another battery if you have one. My Nv2 is in pieces now awaiting a new screen else I would test it along with you. Till I hear from you, try it plugged in to the charger without the battery in and see if the problem persists. HowardForums.com is where all of us cell geeks go to share solutions and problems. same thing happened to me....this is **** me off...i had the chocolate touch a few months ago too...about 6...and the screen randomly froze...i have been lookin thru the internet and noone has an answer...this is **** me off...i take care of this fone and it just randomly brakes every 6 months? wtf...this is the third post that has said the same thing and i promise when i go to the verison store tomoro they will try to blame it on me...

independent of the make of the mobile phone, you can try to type following on your keypad:

* # 0 6 #

then the IMEI should be displayed.

There are only two ways to fix this issue. 1. Take it to a mobile phone shop, and inform them that you need the master lock code changed for user based access. 2. Perform a hard reset on the phone that will restore it back to factory settings, and delete everything you've got on there.
IF the phone's keypad works, then try typing this in #pwd# send That may help you too, as for performing the master reset yourself, that's the only way, anything else will result in you having to take it to a technician

insert the PUK CODE,its usually on your sim pack,if you dont have a sim pack,call your network costomer careline

Usually all data's will be deleted if you delete it.Don't worry.

For your safety just reset the phone.

1. Press MENU, RIGHT ARROW two times, then 5 two times .
2. Enter the four-digit lock code.
3. Press 5 (Reset Default).
4. Press OK, select Revert then press OK.

mcdevito75 here, had the same problem, your phone is going bad and will need to be replaced. Contact your cell phones carrier for a replacement phone.

Goto Profiles --> Edit Profile

Switch It On

1. Click OK/Menu
2. Click right twice to get to the Settings and Tools Menu
3. Click down until you get to the System (this is 5 on a 5200)
4. Click down until you get to the Security (this is also 5 on a 5200)
5. Enter your lock code. If you have not customized it, this is the last for digits of your phone number.
6. Click Reset Default
7. You’ll see a message that says “Reset Default: Preference settings will be set to factory defaults. Press OK to continue.” You know what to do here…

I’ve not done this on my phone. I like my settings. But I’m told that this will NOT remove the custom rings you have uploaded on your phone AND there is a seperate menu item for deleting contacts. So, I don’t think it will remove your contact information either BUT I cannot guarantee this. Choosing this option MIGHT remove all of those settings.
If someone reading this follows these instructions, please let me know, in a comment, what is cleared and what is not.
