I got a Samsung Gravity and it wont turn on.

dear,

if your phone dropped in water then the first step to be done is immigately remove the battery and then let it dried through a table lamp. you should keep it under 100 W test lamp at a distance of 5-6 feet. if it worked fine after dropping in water and again shut off then open the cover and do this method..

goodluck....

I cant get this i phone to work that i bought on ebay

There was a similar problem with my ipod nano.. The ipod/iphone has got the apple logo built in but if it cant fint the firmware to run then is shuts itself down. to fix and restore.. 1. Put the iPhone in DFU mode by holding the home and power buttons for 10 secs the hold the home for 10 secs.
2. Connect to itunes
3. itunes should say " iTunes has found a iPhone in recovery mode. You need to restore the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes"
4. Restore - this should take an hour or so..
5. Done.
This works with my ipod touch but i havnt got a iPohne and the firmware is the same.

I have a LG vx 5200 that displays the words

Take your phone apart, an using a soft toothbrush clean the CN302 connection at the base of your phone, next to the connector there's a U204 IC with identinfication AAD1 on it. Those are the main areas that needs to be cleaned. For better results you can use a bit of NON-alcoholic cleaning detergent. This will solve your problem.
Best of luck

Not holding a charge

This is not a battery problem. Some IC on the board must have blown somehow or it is a factory defect.

See a mobile repairer or retailer for necessary checks.

Wont cost much.

Thats what my phone does when the battery is dead. perhaps it did not charge last night. see if the phone will turn on while connected to the charger. if so, the battery is dead or defective.

LG VX5200 Battery issue

Sounds like a mfg. defect. I have never had a phone on Verizon system do that, or an LG but I would be curious to see if it kept on occurring once you get a generic battery from a reputable online site.

LG VX5200

Today 01/23/09 I had the same "car kit" message on my cell phone. After inspecting my charging port connection area I noticed corrosion on the connector. I applied DeoxIT D100L by CAIG Laboratories and cured the problem. I am now able to use my phone again.

Lock

Your lock code is the last 4 digits of your phone's number.

The phone number probably came on the box.

MY SON LOCKED LG VX5200

you are going to have to find the last 4 digits of your phone number, because that is the unlock code.

If you dont have a way of finding it, maybe you could try moving the SIM card into another cellular phone of the same provider and calling from that.

Hope it helped.
