you can also eliminated this trigger , it normally goes bad when the lamp is replace , just jump the 2 wires

lamp door not closing. most likely it is warped from heat of lamp. this also causes other plastic parts to warp. will need to check unit carefully to see what parts have overheated & melted.

Hello, it sounds like the lamp has gone bad, it's gone interminent to the point its like a flasher in your cars blinker system. If you remove it, you might see if it's discolored to a blueish tint instead of a shiny silver mirror finish. On those with the small lamp it can be harder to see. the lamp number is XL-2400.....tks

Question shows it is Sony KDF-55E2000 lcd rear projection that has lamp inside as back light source, when this lamp reaches end of its working hours life, it starts such problem.
If lamp has not been replaced in last 2-3 years, then replace it to solve this picture issue, lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual of tv, please buy Sony original lamp from nearest Sony Store for good picture in tv.

Buy a cheap remote for all tv s and program it the model you have you should have a working remote.

my question is this. our lamps keep blowing in the tv, I need to know if I can replace the fan myself or does it need to go to a technician? if I can do it then where can I find the part? I have been searching the internet and cannot seem to find anything but a lamp replacement!!
