The turntable should have it's own fuse to protect the motor and best to check this seeing that all else turns on

If you enter a cook time and then press "Start," and the turntable turns, the timer counts down, and the inside light works, but it does not energize the high-voltage section, then chances are you have a door switch issue.

On this model, it would be a defective top door switch, or the primary interlock's (top door switch's) mount is loose, misaligned, or broken.

Mary open microwave door and press the acess panel above the cavity opening where it says push, this will lower the panel door to the filter. just in case of any issues www.geappliances.com they will assit. Marcus

Without seeing plates it is hard call. personally I would remove old plate and install new plate in accordance with instructions. You want to not void warranty by using old plate. There should screws into the studs this is the desired mounting. You can use your knuckle and tap across the wall, when you reach stud the sound will be different. Good Luck when I replaced MW units for customers I always used supplied parts. I have also been called to correct installation by store. the people they sent should not been allowed to attempt the project ( I didn't mind as i charged for my time and tools and knowledge.)

Which model do you have? One microwave in this series is the PSA9120SFSS. To set the clock, press Settings (second from the bottom on the left of the Control Panel). Turn the dial to Clock Settings. Check the LCD screen to select Set Clock. Turn the dial to set the hour, including AM or PM. Press the dial to save this. Then turn the dial to set the minutes. You may possibly have an issue with one of the door switches or its mount may be loose, misaligned, or broken.
