How do I reset the
You will have to gain access to the Motherboard. On it, there will be a round cell battery about the size of a quarter. Pull that for about 15 minutes. Also, when it is pulled, fire up the system. It will beep and state that CMOS is different. OK it and shut the machine back down and put the battery back in. Fire up your PC once more, and ok the time changes. This should take care of resetting BIOS and CMOS
Hello my name is steven
I am assuming that it was working before he gave it to you.
Unplug the pc and open the case and touch the case to ground yourself before trying the next steps. Blow any dust out and away from all the fans, check that all the wires are plugged in tight, check the memory sticks and make sure they are pushed in. Try plugging it in with the cover open but do not touch anything inside with the power on and try it and make sure all the fans are turning. Let me know how this worked. Thanks for using FixYa
The light on the power
try removing the front panel make sure the button isnt clogged with dust or disconected failing that it may well be your power supply internal fuse which can be repaird but a trick job if youare not very good with a soldering iron you may get a replacement one on ebay.
Pavilion a622n restarts during boot process
First step is to get to the Safemode menu. (usually done by pressing F8 during startup but before the Windows XP screen). Select "Disable automatic restart on failure" (Something like that - I can't remember the exact verbage. That way when it crashes you will get the blue screen error and it will stop. Then you can further diagnose what is going on. Post back what it says...
Connection
how are you connecting? what are you useing to connect. Modem, network. are your drivers current for your system? need more infro. in order to help.
Problem getting computer to turn on
Try removing the power lead from the back of pc for atleast 15 minutes and re-connect.
It may be a power supply unit fault that is showing connection but not powering the motherboard.
Open up the side of pc and check the main leads that come from the power supply unit to the motherboard connection are'nt dissloged in any way, or unplug the motherboard connector and place in again this might re-set it.
Removing virtual drive
It depends what program you used to add it in the first place. Open the software and look for settings, or just uninstall it.

HP product ID# is best on the service tag for SURE.

there are over 100 PC called G series, and vast years.
some PCs by them G1 to 7 are generations, like

if you can find the service tag the product ID # is what matters most
this code includes (real model, version , options and country sold)
see this, older PCs by them had this.
see that , all matters but do not post SN/ or service codes in public.
