Hi,
The problem is with the fuser, the fuser is bad, you will need to replace the fuser on your printer, in other to fix the problem.
120.1 service fuser error on
Service Fuser Error appears when the fuser does not warm to the required temperature. For this error on this Lexmark model C524, the manual says you should power off the printer and power it back on, and if it is not plugged into a wall power point, change it to a power point mounted directly on the wall. Personally, I never got a Lexmark printer to work doing this, but this is in the manual. If this won't help, and the printer is under warranty, you should log it in with the servicing company.
If the printer is out of warranty, your next option is to change the fuser which costs around $350, so I think you would be better off getting a new printer unless you find a second hand one on Ebay.
There is a problem 120.1
This error normally requires a service call. The fuser is not receiving the right amount of power. But try this. Power the printer off, wait ten seconds, and then power the printer back on. If possible, connect the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet. In rare instances, a surge protector or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can generate false error messages. If problem is not resolved, printer needs to be serviced.

Hi,
Here are some instructions that you can follow to try to identify and resolve the problem with the black marks.
First click on the following link http://bit.ly/aNzNsl and follow the steps on how to print the Print Quality Pages. Once you have those pages printed Then it will be easy to identify where the problem is coming from. If the problem is more visible in one color than in the others then you might be looking at a problem with either the Photoconductor or the Developer Roller. If the black marks are showing on all the page regardless of color then the problem could be contamination either on the Transfer Belt or in the Photoconductor Units and maybe need to be replaced and/or clean. To clean a contaminated printer you will need to vacuum the inside so that residual toner will not get blown into some other parts of the printer.
Hope it helps.
