I have the same problem with my Soyo 32" lcd tv. Seems a lot of people do. Soyo went out of business, but I am going to see if it is the capacitors, like several people said on here.

This could be a inverter going out on you. I have the same problem and was told over the phone by a repair facility that the LCD screen is going bad. My tv has done this since i bought it and smacking the back of it with my hand stopped it til now.

That means there are no more updates for that TV. You might want to get a newer TV.

Go to home setting on remote. Go to audio settings on tv. Adjust sound from there down to suitable level.
