Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Clean the battery contacts, inside the battery compartment, before inserting new batteries. Try to make a hard reset to this set and check.

Do you have any lights if you do not it's probably your power supply if you do it could be your power supply, signal board, t-con board, backlight inverters. In any case the power supply is te most likelly cause.You can get parts at www.interliquidparts.com

I have not repaired or even heard of this model of TV. I would imagine the problem is in the signal board. Some call this the main board as well. I really believe the problem is in the main board (signal board is the same thing). This will have to be replaced. Thanks for asking me!

If you're using it as a computer monitor, go with the native resolution of 1366 x 768. If you're using it to watch TV, you could choose 720P or 1080i. You probably couldn't tell a difference between the two, but if you watch sports (or fast moving objects), go with 720P.

Use composite input or any other available input other than the tuner. If you know how to solder, get a new connector and solder it in. If not, take it to a technician and have them repair it. This is a minor repair and should not cost much as long as you didn't destroy the board itself.

Here are the steps for a power scan, which will scan the tv for the correct code:
1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

Look at the front of the remote control with a digital camera or the camera on your mobile phone and press the buttons on the remote. If you see a bright light then the remote is working and the problem is with your TV.

hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up .good luck hope it works

Depend on how much you know about electronics and have proper tools to do the work. Please read below:
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there are some troubleshoot you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.
