Model #MMV5100AAB built 01/2002 no power

Check the back panel for a breaker reset. If none, remove the case cover (pull the plug) and look for any blown fuses. If look ok, then check the interlock switch(es) for function when the door is closed. They are micro-switches and should make a distinct 'click' when operated. If you find a blown fuse, replace the high voltage diode in the magnetron power supply and replace the 'stirrer' (a fan-like device located under the sheet metal wave guide where the microwave energy enters the cooking cavity). It has a plastic bearing that can arc across inside it and short the energy out.

After plugging in too many appliances to one

Hello. check to be sure that you have power to the outlet where your microwave is plugged in. If you do then plug your microwave in and attempt to set the clock. IF you can not set the clock you most likely have a blown internal fuse. Call around to the various repair shops and tell them what you need. get an estimate from at least three shops.

My above the range Maytag Microwave oven plate

The spindle (called a turntable shaft) sits atop a small motor shaft from the turntable motor. You either have a weak turntable motor, stripped shaft (which allows the motor shaft to free spin when it has any weight on it), or both.

The turntable motor is located under the bottom panel of the microwave oven. You do not have to uninstall the oven for this repair.

First, unplug the unit, remove the glass carousel tray, and pull straight up on the turntable shaft to remove it. Next, locate and remove the series of screws along the bottom panel underneath the oven. The bottom panel will open exposing the drive motor. The motor comes out by disconnecting the connector plug and a couple of mounting screws.

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, you can view these parts at searspartsdirect.com. Locate items 11 (turntable motor) and 14 (shaft) under the "Cavity" heading. Other sites you may try are pcappliancerepair.com, appliancepartspros.com or repairclinic.com to see if you can find these parts any cheaper.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Maytag MMV4205 door won't stay shut.

After tearing apart my microwave, I found a little spring broke off the latches. Open the door to the microwave, pop off the plastic piece that the latches on the door go through. You will see a spring behind the latch. If the spring is not connected to the latch it won't operate properly. The spring was held onto the latch with a tiny plastic piece that broke off. An easy solution instead of buying a new latch is to heat up one side of the spring without burning yourself and melt it through the latch piece where it was originally connected then put everything back together.
Hope this helps,

The microwave does not heat and the turn table does not turn

Test the high voltage capacitor, the rectifier diode.or the magnetron.

The diode and capacitors can br tested. The capacitor must be allowed discharge before testing, or you risk to get electrocuted, even if power is off. Capacitors can get discharged by shorting their two contacts.
Replace the magnetron if the checks and all of the high voltage component tests are good, but the unit still does not heat.

All locations, and description of this parts can be located using the diagram here: Counter top.

Parts must be tested to find out what is wrong.

Remember that microwaves are potentially dangerous devices if not repaired properly, the job must be done by a competent person.
A microwave energy leakage test must always be performed when the oven is serviced for any reason.

Regarding parts, contact the seller here to purchase parts.
