When I shut the door on the microwave the turntable starts running even though it's not turned on and the light stays on

Maybe a failed triac that switches the motor and light. Also try pulling it out from the wall for some time.

5E display on maytag microwave

<- Let me know your full model number from the tag on your oven so I can give you detailed information repair. Unless there is grease or moisture on your control circuit board, "SE" means you have a shorting membrane keypad.

It just quit while cooking. Is there afuse in this

If the model number is correct, there is a 125V, 20 AMP line fuse inside the microwave. Its usually mounted at the point where the power cord enters the back of the unit. You will need to UNPLUG the microwave oven and remove the exterior case to access. The case comes off in various ways depending on manufacture and model. I found this illustration at pcappliancerepair.com based on the model number you listed this question under:

http://pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php
The line fuse is listed as item 12.

You can usually purchase a box of fuses at a hardware store for just a little more than what the manufacturer charges for a single fuse. 125V, 20AMP Ceramic Slow Blow fuses are recommended.

If you have any questions, or need additional assistance troubleshooting, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

NOTE: Make sure you take any resistance readings with the microwave UNPLUGGED and the component under test isolated (removed) from the circuit.

Advantium 120 not working

see this causes and fix it. God bless youIf the microwave will not work at all, make sure power is on at the outlet and test the electrical cord. Test the fuse and replace it if it is faulty. Also check the door to make sure it closes properly. Test and, if needed, replace the fan. If the oven doesn't cook or cooks only intermittently but the display is on, check the door interlock switch, the thermal cutout, and the fan, replacing parts that don't pass the test.10_16_2012_1_51_08_pm.gif

Timer runs fast

The problem is in the keypad control board, in order to address this, it must be replaced, but parts replacement can add up to more than a new microwave oven.

I have a Maytag MMV5207BAS. When pulling door open it would start itself. Had a tech come out and try to fix door latch and made it worse. Now it starts upon closing and starts on and off by itself

Is there no way this product can't be returned, there should be warranty on the item if new, regardless if it was manufactured in 2007 he has to honour the warranty. The problem you are describing is caused by one or two defective door switches, that must be replaced in order to get it working, and you need a professional that can do the job right.

Microwave Died

You can replace the fuse to find it blows right away indicating a much larger problem, from the description it is most likely a bad magnetron that has probably developed a short. I recommend replacing the microwave oven when you consider the cheaper pricing.

Lost power due the storm' when power was

Possible that during the power outage there was fault in the mains supply and with the oven being plugged on it is possible that the power supply or the main board is damaged.Unless you are able the top cover it is difficult to confirm if this can be silly fault like a fuse blown which is on the mains circuit or a Step down transformer or the processor board.

My Maytag microwave has error code "SE" on the

SE error means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

The full model number would be MMV1153AAB or MMV1153AAW and denotes color.

On this model, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly ("control panel/switch" as it's called) which comes with a new keypad.

It's actually a pretty easy do it yourself job.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Next, disconnect the strip as shown in the photo below, then remove the screws that hold your circuit board in the old frame.

Some connectors have a lock:

Then carefully (since the display is made of glass) move your circuit board to the new frame, and reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.

You can get the part from the Pros here. They're our favorite supplier.

You can also find helpful exploded view diagrams at that link.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

I am having problems with

It sounds like the magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT

This is a job for a professional but if you are safety clued up, here's instruction.

If it is the type with an "Invertor", they are not user serviceable and should be directed to an authorised repair agent for continued safety, otherwise if conventional;

Make sure the !!!!any capacitors are discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 or moving coil meter on high resistance range for short circuit, (DVM's won't show the fault!), the capacitor can fail and go short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.
