Memory card locked!??
The card locked usually means 'protected'
Check out the manual for image protection - on/off.
Or put card back into computer and delete[NOT FORMAT] from there.
A more comprehensive manual is usually found the the CD that came with the camera
Deleted pictures
to delete photos, you had to have hit 'format' or 'delete'. Changing settings won't do it. IF they are deleted, they're gone. You can't un-delete photos on a camera.

Optio E10 Shutter Speed
Try using Energiser Lithium Batteries. Ifound that they speed up the speed of the shuuter on the camera.
Shutter speed
The shutter speed on my pentax optio e10 is so slow. I hate the camera and wouldn't recommend t.
Camera won't turn on
If you are getting no response at all from the camera, it could be one of a few things.
First (and yes I have seen it done) The batteries maybe in backwards.
Second there is a micro fuse inside that could have shorted out and I have seen this in many digital cameras over the years.
The fuse looks like a tiny white strip somewhere near where the battery is connected to the camera. Of course it's not easy to get to and you have to rip the whole thing apart and check it with a multimeter.

White Screen
- Upon startup lens emerges but when screen appears it is white whereas it normally displays whatever the lens sees. When the shutter button is pressed the camera will focus and take a white picture which can be deleted. The camera does not flash although flash is set to automatic and photo taken in a dark room. Camera flashes (weakly) with flash set to manual on. Lens is unobstructed and appears to be perfectly normal. Camera was not dropped. Batteries have been changed.
Dark pictures
You can try adjusting your exposure settings, or try and use the slow shutter speed settings like the auto night mode... Try increasing the white balance as well...
E10 can't focus in dark places
The focus mechanizm does nee to 'see' what it is looking at.
Check you manual see if there is a setting for fixing the focus so thatr the camara can shoot from near- about 2m to infinity without the focus operating.
